It has a dragon!
The track is easy to put together, no tools needed,except for the tiny one needed for the battery compartment on the train. It doesn't say anywhere in the packaging that it makes a "dragon roar" sound but it does as it goes into the tunnel under the mountain. We sat and listened for it and it definitely sounds different going through the tunnel. It was a awesome effect. Our son loves watching it for over the dragons back and the moving parts. I love how it stays on the track. We only had to re-track Thomas twice the whole time he played with it. Our son seems to really enjoy it, he laughed and has a ball playing with it. Disappointed
I really wanted to like this item as it was my sons first Thomas the train toy ever. I had my husband put it together and he claimed it was a little confusing with the directions. Then the Thomas train wouldn't move on the tracks. I checked YouTube to see if maybe there was a review on there and there was a video of someone putting it together and the train latch on top being pulled back and then going on its own through the tracks but ours didn't do that! Even off the track. My husband put it all together and my son lost interest after 5 minutes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    My kids absolutely loved this Thomas the Train set they couldn't wait for me to put it together it took less then 5 minutes for me to put it together and get it running.     Lots of fun!
    This is a very cute little set. I love that it can be used to help teach cause and effect :) when Thomas droves over the dragon falls forward and knocks the set over to complete the track and allowing Thomas to make it around safety [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Great add on set!
    The ‘Dragon Escape' set is a cool add-on track that my son hooked up to his ‘Land and Sea' set. The dragon resets itself when Thomas drives through the tunnel so kids can keep playing!     It says it's meant for ages 3-7, but by 5 year old son was not very impressed. He was so excited at first. He loved that it had a dragon. But after assembling it and playing, the fun only lasted 1 day. After that he wanted to build his own track, which you can't do. I mean, you can, technically, take it apart and use just the track and not the other components, but it's not what he expected at all. Also, it doesn't fit his metal Thomas trains. The tracks are too wide. I got this un Hope's the old trains would fit and he could still push them along by hand, but that's not possible. I'm wondering if the wood figure 8 set is smaller and would have fit his old trains. We almost got that one instead, but the dragon lured him into choosing this one.     Great fun
    My 5 year old daughter was very excited to open this and get it set up. At first she was very enthralled with it, but unfortunately it did not hold her interest for long. Her 3 year old sister also enjoyed a few rounds on the track but moved on. Although we've left it out and both of them keep coming back. They really do seem to enjoy it, just for short spurts!     Loads of fun
    We got the Thomas & Friends TrackMaster Dragon Escape and wasn't sure if our son would like it or not. He actually did and continues to play with it. Very easy to put together and put away.     Cute Thomas set!
    My son LOVES thomas the train. We honestly own every thomas character we have been able to find in store. When he opened the dragon escape he was thrilled. It was easy enough that a 4 year old could put it together. I did help with the 2 sticker placement. Him and his younger sister played with the track for at least 45 mins. Great smaller track.     Great set with motorized Thomas
    This is a great set. Even though the picture on the front of the box shows missing track this is a complete full track that goes in a figure 8. It can be hooked up to other Thomas sets which we had 1 with a shark so my kids loved setting the shark and dragon up near each other. The actual Thomas has different decals that other ones so with my 2 boys they now can have separate Thomas's . This is a addition to our sets. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
