Great toy
I got the transformers predacon megatron dinosaur action figure. It is great! It converts from robot to a T. rex dinosaur in eleven steps. It comes with two missile accessories that can be stored in the action figures thighs. It also has a water squirting head that works in the dinosaur and the robot mode.

    Far less mold degradation than I expected . . .
    I grabbed this at a steep discount on rollback/clearance. I only bought it for reason, to swap the purple Trex shell/sections onto my Takara Beast Wars Megatron from the mid 90s. I also swapped a few of the darker purple robot pieces over to get a better colour match. The Takara version came out great with the swapped over reissue parts. The reissue though was a loose/floppy mess with the swapped over Takara parts so there are parts that were either reduced/increased (or both) in size for the reissue and there was definitely some differences on the inside waffles of the robot thighs and a lot of other pieces. This item did exactly what I needed it to do though and it's not a big deal for me that the reissue wound up terrible after the parts swapping because I didn't purchase it to wind up with two BW Megatrons, I just wanted the purple Trex shell/parts to put on my mid 90s Takara robot and that's exactly what I got along with really tight joints on everything.

    Great Collectors item
    I love all the vintage toys Hasbro is putting out. The packing is so well done, I was debating on whether I should save this as a collectors item. However, I did give it to my son as I intended. The dinosaur is cool but even with the instructions I found this toy very difficult to transform. My 8 year old son was not able to do it. Also, the water spray function that is supposed to shoot out of the dinosaurs mouth did not work which was disappointing. Overall, my son still has fun playing with it, but maybe it makes a better collectors item than toy.

    Too Complicated
    Very difficult to transform for 6 year old .All my son does is cry trying to get this toy to work .My son gets very frustrated when he tries to play with this toy.

    Get this beast while you can
    Love the fact that hasbro is releasing retro toys from the 80's and 90's. The quality of the plastic is different, but not in a bad way. I had the original figure and this is as close as I can get to it without paying high prices. However, 50 dollars is a bit steep, 40 would've been better

    This is our opportunity, yes!
    If you weren't lucky enough to get this guy in 1996, this is a golden opportunity! His helmet is black to match his torso and thighs as opposed to its original silver color and his T-rex form is a slightly richer purple, but apart from those two details, he looks and feels exactly like his original version.

    Arm function does not work.
    I can confirm with the other review as well as video reviews that the arm function DOES NOT WORK. Otherwise, it's a decent version of the mold, but with noticeably worse plastic/molding quality.
