Excellent remake of the original!
This is an excellent version of the original. It's heavy - metal, like the original. Brings back so many memories. My expectations were pretty low, so this was definitely, "more than meets the eye!"

Buyer be ware!
This was clearly an opened item. It was a christmas present and too late to return but it was held together with clear packing tape and the pieces were loose in the box. Big disapointment.

    Just gonna answer the question, what was the build material of the original transformers The metal used in die-cast toys is one of a family of alloys known as ZAMAK or ZAMAC. This peculiar name comes from the alloys' composition, which includes Zinc, Aluminum, MAgnesium, and Copper (Kupfer to the alloy's German originators), in varying amounts

    G1 Transformers Soundwave
    Looks and feels just like the one I had as a kid. I wish they had also made the vintage Megatron in original packaging as well, but this is FANTASTIC! Thanks, HASBRO!

    Packing and shipping sucks!
    Toy collectors beware! If you want the box in good shape don't buy from wallmart. hate the packaging and shipping. My box was destroyed. Im done withwall mart online. I love the item, rating would of been 5 stars. Packing/shipping totally sucks. NEVER AGIAN!

    Just like an original, it brings ALL the nostalgia
    Talk about nostalgia! This reissue of the classic Soundwave Transformer is spot-on to the original, down to the box art and redeemable Robot Points (of course, these are no longer redeemable). It brought back all the memories of wanting one of these as a child, and the first time I got to play with one at a friend's house. I'm not sure the build quality is quite the same -- it was a long time ago, and my memories made this out to be really durable back then -- but it looks authentic and it'll probably hold up to light use. I'm so happy this exists and looks so authentic. How I wish all older toys would get reissued with treatment like this!

    This Transformer is amazing and great for display and he's just like the original G1 Transformer. Also I can't stand Soundwave not being a cassette player because that's the way he should always be not a car, plane, train, or even a tank, I love Soundwave as a cassette player so drive 8 hours to buy this Transformer, trust me it's worth it.

    Outstanding remake of one of my favorites from being a kid! Price is very reasonable for the quality. I do wish they hadn't have bent and taped down the box top card for shipping though, as most who buy this want the box to remain mint.

    More than meets the eye
    Im very happy to have purchased this vintage Transformer. Just as I remembered it as a kid. Small gripe about Amazon packaging though. Nobody took the time to put it in a solid box, therefore the packaging box was slightly damaged. A collector might be upset about that. Overall I am very happy to relive some childhood moments...thank u Walmart.

    Thought Transformers were die cast metal
    Was thoroughly satisfied with shipping and handling through Walmart. Was a little disappointed about the design of the product from Hasbro. Great item for displaying!!
