25 year tiller
I've had this tiller for 25 years. I have put in a 1/4 acre garden with it every year. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Breaks Every Time I Start It Up
I've owned the Bronco Rototiller for one month. It arrived with: 1 tire off the rim (which can only be fixed at a tire shop), wheels installed backwards, tines installed backwards. In one month of use (3 weekends) the pull chord broke from wear (because it was cheap string) and the tire has separated from the rim two more times.
It's in the repair shop as we speak having everything put on the way it should have originally been properly installed.
Have to wonder what's going on with the people manufacturing and assembling this product!

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/27/2021Not what I expected!I have had this rear tine tiller about a month, so Troy Bilt wanted to know how my mower is doing. It's far from being what my first Troy Bilt was in so many weaknesses. I expect the handle bar to break before summer is over, the engine has already started to smoke on startup, it has quit running several times and has not been able to impress me as of yet.Nate

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/23/2013worth the moneyAlthough this tiller is good for the initial turning of the soil, it is even more useful in tilling between rows several times during the year. It saves having to pull weeds and loosens the soil so it holds more moisture even late as the year drys out.dgb68

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/19/2013bronco tillerI purchased the bronco tiller in 2012. It started easy and ran well. you really have to hold on if you hit a hard spot or it will jump. The handle bars bent while my wife was using it and she weighs 120lbs. The pull string broke on my next use, and the handle bars bent again and cracked.I believe this is a manufacture defect and the new handle bars are almost half the cost of the tiller to replace. I am using again in 2013 and the handle bars broke and the pull rope again, but it does till well. This is not a product for someone who wants no trouble.bkanyuh

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/17/2012Good little tillerThis tiller has been a good tiller over the years. As long as you do not leave old gas in it and run it periodically, it will run strong. I tune it up every spring. I have only had it serviced once in 10 years. When I bought it was a 5.5 Hp, not a 208cc. The only thing I did not like is that they cross threaded the oil plug from the factory. I called them and they sent me a new one and said they would check the line to make sure it would not happen again.sparkie

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/17/2012Super tillerTiller breaks up soil very well. Rear tines do not bounce around like front tine type. First use of this tiller was on soil that had been under fabric and rock for over 20 years and it broke through the soil quickly. A few very hard patches took only a couple of times throughjpgranny

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/14/2012Good tiller for the priceThis is a good tiller for the small garden. I have used mine in tough conditions: rocky soil, breaking turf, etc., and it keeps on going. It has only one speed, and never stalls. It usually starts on the first pull. After sitting in the cold all winter it sometimes takes a few pulls, but it always starts. Probably because of the very rocky soil I have, I have broken many tines, but they are very simple to replace and I keep a few extra on hand. This is a nice piece of equipment and I would buy the same thing again if I ever need another tiller.Theo
