Great Product
I have had this for 5 years and it is great for children's hot lunches. Keeps food warm for about 5 hours. The people that posted doesn't keep food warm are probably not following the instructions that came with it. You have to put boiling water in the container, close lid, let boiling water sit for about 5 minutes, dump out water and then put HOT food into the thermos. Must warm up food before putting into thermos. Also you HAVE to warm up thermos before, if you don't warm up thermos with boiling water food will not stay warm. My kids love this, food is always warm at their lunch time at school.

Stopped holding heat
2 of my children received this food jar as a Christmas gift. My 3rd child received another model of the same product. Both of these began malfunctioning pretty shortly after we began using them. I could tell something was wrong when I would fill them with hot water to prime them and the outside of the jar became hot. I knew something had happened to the vacuum seal. Sure enough, my kids started coming home complaining that their food wasn't hot at lunch. The 3rd child's thermos is functioning perfectly. It stays cool on the outside and he says his food is still warm at lunch. I think there must be an issue with this style.

    Get the plain 10oz Thermos, it’s made better
    The plain Thermos brand 10oz stainless steel food jar is way better and it works great. When my boys started school, I bought this to send lunches and thought they might enjoy the Batman symbol. This one did not keep their lunch warm. The inly difference I could see is the rubber ring inside the lid is different. After several uses, the ring was loose and would not stay correctly. The other difference is this one says dish washer safe, whereas every other vacuum insulated stainless steel product I have ever used says hand wash only. I only hand washed mine, and it still did not work as well as this plain 10oz jar with the better rubber sealing ring. Throwing this one out and replacing with the plain Thermos 10oz vacuum insulated stainless steel food jar

    too tall and slim for my toddlers
    I like the idea of these but they were too small and slim for my toddlers to eat out of them easily. Would work better for older kids, though I found it not super user friendly myself. They are very cute though!

    My kids use these thermos' a few times a week and they are perfect Haven't tested how long things actually stay hot but from when I make their soup in the morning by lunch it's still hot

    Could be wider
    It keeps the food warm, but the food needs to be all mixed and the presentation of the food looks terrible. It could have had a wider opening so my son could see better the food. Only recommend for soups or food that is already mixed e.g. risotto.

    Perfect!
    I'm able to pack hot lunches for my kids for school. Very useful. I recommend to boil water than pour in container let sit than remove water and add food. This way it conserves hotter longer. Kids love having hot lunches instead of typical sandwiches.
