Strong leash
I have a lot bull and we all know how strong they are. I don't get to walk her alot because I have not found a leash strong enough but this one is very strong. I like that it has a button that you can press to stop the dog. The handle feels very comfortable in your hand.

Good leash for controlled walking
I have a 10 month old Yorkie that I have been walking on a 20 foot retractable leash. I usually walk him in the evenings on a golf cart path so letting him have more freedom had not been a problem. I am now street training him and this 8 foot lead is a lot better. When he is curbing properly I do not have it in the locked position and he is still in a controlled area length wise and has a little room to roam ahead. If he is being difficult and cars, joggers, other walkers are present I can easily lock the length to keep him at my heel. I also found this leash helpful when I had to take a driving trip and wanted more control at rest areas and know it will be useful when he is trained and I can take him into urban areas. I have not used it at night but the reflective feature will be a big plus should the need arise. I have been in my car at night and have been surprised with people walking dogs .... They gave a flashlight or reflective vest for themselves but nothing on their dog. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because my leash tended to twist .... my 20 footer has a swivel that keeps this from happening. Looks like this one should do it too but that has not been my experience. Not a huge deal but I do find it slightly annoying. Overall recommend and a threat size for a toy dog.

    Great leash for a strong dog
    I have two 5 year old Rottweiler/heeler/German shepherd mixes that can be pretty hard on leashes. This vibrant life leash has managed to stay in tact for two months now. It's long enough to let them maintain some independence but rolls back up quickly enough that they don't get caught up in it.

    Easy grip handle
    This retractable leash is a little different than some others I have owned. To engage the braking system there are two buttons, one you push in and one you slide forward. It took a little getting use to but works fine. It has reflective tape which is nice to have if you walk your dogs in the dark. It retracts easily and a little fast. Overall, it's a good quality leash which I expect to be using for a long time.

    Tape Leash
    The Vibrant Life Retractable tape leash seems to be very well made. The one I have is for medium dog (up to 50Lbs). The leash strap (Tape) has a reflective thread used in it that helps it to been seen in low light. The leash can be easily controlled with the thumb button. The leash total length is 16 feet long so you can give your dog some room. You can also allow out a certain length of leash and then lock it in place by pushing the thumb button forward. The leash is light enough to carry for long periods of time without wearing you arms out. The handle is rubberized so it is not only comfortable but easy to grip. I am very pleased with the Vibrant Life leash.

    Heavy duty and nice
    This is a good quality, heavy duty leash. It's not too heavy and it's very easy to operate and control. Our dog is around 100 pounds and he did very well on this leash. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing a good quality leash at a decent price.

    This leash worked great to hold my Frosty!
    I just wanted to share my experience with the Vibrant Life Reflective Retractable Tape Leash. I am really happy with my leash. It's black and has a gray holder. It is a small so it works perfectly for my dog Frosty, who's a West Highland Terrier. I have never had a leash that retracted before so it took a little getting used to on my part, but I was really impressed with how easy it was to learn how to work it. It's got a small button that you depress when you want to stop the leash from advancing. If you push it all the way in and forward, it will lock the leash and you can walk the dog at that length of leash, which works really well for when you want to teach your dog to heel. once you want to allow your dog more leash, you pull the whole button area back, and the leash can advance again. Easy Peasy. The leash has reflective thread running through it so it's great for evening walks. And the holder is very comfortable in my hand. I like every part of the Vibrant Life Reflective Retractable Tape Leash and I will be looking for one for my Shepherd. I definitely recommend this leash. Thumbs up!

    Very nice and heavy duty!
    I received this product from Walmart's Spark Reviewer program. This leash outshines our previous basic retractable leash. The handle is very comfortable with grippy material that helps to keep from slipping out of your hand if your dog pulls. The break works very smoothly and easily locks into place. The reflective leash tape helps keep us visible on night walks. My pup is 8 lbs and the clasp is the perfect size to fit her collar or harness and is lightweight. Overall very well made. I'm very happy with it and will be purchasing another for our other dog. I highly recommend this leash!

    Great compact design
    I like this retractable leash because it is lightweight and compact. It has good tension and the "hold/stop" button on the top works easily. My dog is only about 16 pounds and my previous retractable leash was large and heavy and the tension seemed too heavy for my dog. I would definitely recommend this product.
