Good price
Was easy to install on my jon boat. Made a template and did not use the quick release mount. Very sturdy. Love the foot control. Can be used anywhere on the boat.

I purchased this 6/2022. Worked fine in 2022. I get it out in May of 2023 and it stops working after a few minutes. Walmart says to contact Watersanke even though I have a purchase plan. Watersanke says I have to send the troller to them OR they'll send me a part they think is wrong! Less than a dozen uses and it quits and they want to replace a part in it?!?! Don't waste your money. Go get a Minnkota if this is Watersanke's and Walmart's service policy!

    I have been a fisherman for over 50 years. I have owned several types of electric motors. I purchased the water snake because of it's price. I have the minnikota power drive on one of m boats. At first I was pleased with this trolling motor, however I had a complete failure. I rewired my plug and it began to work again. Now it has failed again and I have power to the unit. I will begin to inspect the motor wires tomorrow hopefully I can find the problem. The wiring of the unit seems to be very sensitive , and too cheap . again I hope I can find the issue , right now I'm without a working trolling motor on my boat.

    It's a crap shoot due to no support.
    I bought one of these a few years ago, it worked for 1 season, but the following spring it would turn on and off but wouldn't turn. The only repair people I could find were in Australia and the shipping would have cost more than the motor cost. I couldn't even buy parts because Im not an authorized service facility. If you are thinking about it, they are a crap shoot. It was phenomenal for the 6 or so times I used it, I loved the cableless control, it let me operate the boat while back far enough to be able to reach the rod holders while trolling. It was great until it wasn't anymore. I'd still like to find parts it has to be fixable but Ill stick to the big brands that are more adaptable to linking with other devices like GPS.

    this was my 2nd shadow in 3 months . Absolute junk , first one would not turn left. So thinking it was just a "lemon" I foolishly bought another one . Lol and of course i did not check till i was on the lake .The 2nd one i bought , would not turn off , plus no speed adjustment . At first it was stuck in high , after disconnecting from battery and reconnecting, it was stuck in low .BUYER BEWARE

    I should have trusted some of the other reviews. The left turn bottom on the pedal sticks right out of the box as other people have said. I took the pedal apart to see where the relay switch was sticking, loosened the screws just a tad, and it seemed to fix the problem for one trip. The next trip after that, it was back to sticking again, and my last trip out it has decided to barely work at all. VERY FRUSTRATING!!! I haven't tried to contact the manufacture yet but it looks like it could be difficult based on no website info, a foreign telephone number, and other reviews that said customer service was hard to contact. Sounds like when you do finnaly contact someone, they send a new relay switch which you have to replace/install yourself. I should have bit the bullet and bought a Minnkota.

    The service from your people has been very good. However, fifteen minutes after turning on the motor (in the water), the wiring burned up. Have returned it and have another one on order. Hope it lasts a little longer this time. Thank's and God Bless. Rich.Rich.

    WE purchased The Watersnake Shadow TRolling Motor a few weeks ago for our Pontoon boat we chose this particular one based on several reason, those being Price, Reviews. we have only used it 2 to 3 times so far but are so far thrilled with it. It has plenty of Gitty Up & go and pushes our Pontooon Boat of 18 ft around with no issues, my husband likes it cause its electronic or something like that and it has a long cord so if he wanted to he could sit in back of boat and run the trolling motor which is mounted on the front he could do so , it also seems to be easy to Operate, which I see as a good thing since I am learning to Operate it. we do recommend this one as it is priced fairly & power to do the job at hand... I hope you enjoy as much as we do so far and see enjoying for a longtime to come... Thank You WaterSnake... Happy Fishing
