High Quality & Easy to Spread
This icing it attractive to the eye and is easy to spread. The flavor is good but it is pretty sweet but that is what icing is all about and you really do not use that much of it, unless of course you have a really sweet tooth and in that case let your self go. There is more then enough icing in this can to frost lots of cookies or a cake. Enjoy Dean

Trash is putting it politely
I cannot fathom how Wilton can sell this product in good conscience. I had to throw my entire cupcake flag away and buy brownies instead. Horrible product. Horrible taste. Nearly ruined a very important party. Minus five stars.

    Good taste
    Considering this was decorator frosting I was a little worried about the flavor but we ended up liking it. We made a cake and used it to frost the whole cake and then used different icing for some decorating. We aren't talented in any way but thought it would be interesting to see if the level of difficulty with decorating would be different with decorator icing. Didn't really make decorating any easier. Either you have it or don't. But it tasted good and I'm sure if you're a decorator you would use this product with ease.

    I always knew there was something I was missing when decorating cakes this is the secret ingredient! I had no idea that there was different textures of icing available in a tub.

    Old Fashion Frosting taste!
    Wilton Decorator Preferred Icing has that old fashioned frosting taste, it is absolutely delicious! I am honestly amazed this frosting taste so good. It truly took me back to my childhood of homemade goodies. The texture is creamy, yet it will hold up to frosting cookies, see pic. This frosting would work well in a piping bag or simply apply with spatula. The frosting has vegetable shortening in it so the texture is very nice. I look forward to switching to this frosting. In my opinion there is no comparison, this frosting is so much better than the big name frosting available in the stores.

    Great Icing
    The Wilton creamy decorator icing has a nice consistency to decorate a cake although if you do a lot of decorating on a cake, you will probably need two containers. It is not overly sweet and I think it would be perfect to decorate your cookies. You do have a choice of icing consistency which varies from soft, medium or stiff. I can also see decorating cupcakes with cute flowers. I appreciate that it comes ready to use which saves time from making your own icing.

    This was delicious frosting! It's a nice consistency, not too thick or thin. My daughter loved the pink color. Tasted better than the other pre-made frosting in a can, in my opinion. Will get again!

    I think this icing is good for regular spreading on/around the cake. It has a decent consistency and is good for regular cake decorating/icing at home. It is also sweet and tasty.

    Thick and creamy
    I got the pink vanilla flavor of this decorator icing and it's just as it says- very easy to spread, not too thick or too thin- just right. It is on the very sweet side which the kids really love- it's a little sweet for me, but that's just my taste. There's more than you think by the size (it's a very heavy can!) so you can decorate a 2-layer 8" cake or 24 cupcakes and have more than enough on each slice/cupcakes... and that's what it's made for. A couple of comments said they couldn't "write" with it- but it's not made or advertised to be for writing... just for decorating and that's exactly what it does. Another great Wilton product that I am very happy with and you will be too.

    A delicious value!
    This Wilton pink decorator is icing is everything an icing should be – it's creamy and easy to spread; it tastes like straight sugar; and it looks great after it's been spread, even the next day. I used it on both cupcakes and a small cake and it worked perfectly. I plan on purchasing more and continuing to use it instead of my previously-favorite brand. For the money, I highly recommend it!

    Decorating Icing
    I received this product and it's really a great icing. You can decorate cakes or cupcakes will do borders or writing. It makes your cakes look amazing also tastes good. It is a medium consistency which makes it easy to use works good at room temperature. The unused can be stored in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Thanks for some good icing.
