SWEET Fun!
Wilton icings are a tradition in the house. I get excited every year to see what new items they come out with for baking and they did not disappoint with this 2 piece red and green cookie icing set. The colors are vibrant and it goes on smooth. The applicator tips are perfect for detailing and the bottle size is a good fit for little kid hands as well as adults. As always, the icing tastes great.

It was a fail.
I did not like the taste of this Wilton Red and Green Cookie Icing Set, I thought it was going to be a great tasting Icing set since it's made by Wilton the top leading brand. I was disappointed. I also thought it was very hard to get the icing to come out so if you have bad wrist this product is not for you. I did like the colors of the icing set that was about the only thing I liked.

    These are nice size bottles and handled very easily. They are are dark red and dark green colors. They make the cookies look festive. My daughter had made 3 dozen cookies and there was plenty left to do a lot more. kids will have fun with these.

    Fun decorating! Dries smooth.
    We got this Wilton set of 2 cookie icing bottles in red and green colors for our kids to decorate some sugar cookies. We definitely had a whole lot of fun icing cookies with this set. Once the cookies are baked and cooled, all you do is remove the icing bottle caps and put the bottles in your microwave for 15-20 seconds. Doing this makes the icing very easy to squeeze out and use. We are not very good at decorating and designing but that didn't ruin our fun. It was extremely easy to use. We only learned later that you could adjust the twistable cap it changes how fast or slow the icing comes out which was very helpful for the kids that just wanted to squeeze icing everywhere!! It has a wonderful smooth finish when it dries, which took about 45 minutes after we began. This icing was also very yummy on our sugar cookies. However, I did give it the 4 out of the 5 stars due to the fact it is extremely sweet tasting. I highly recommend this Wilton cookie icing set for decorating your cookies! The kids have already asked me to get more icing because we had so much fun! Next time I will be buying all the colors to decorate with for even more fun!!

    When you don't have time to make icing
    Wilton's Cookie Frosting There are 2 bottles of icing to a pack in green and red. Each bottle contains 9 ounces of icing. The icing tastes like the type of sweet vanilla icing you would make a glaze with using powdered sugar. Do not cut the tips off the tops of the nozzle. Just twist the cap all the way up to squeeze the icing out. Before using the icing you need to heat the bottle in the microwave to thin it out. Just read the instructions on the back. Once you put the icing on a cookie it starts to set fast so I found myself reheating the icing with each when I needed it to flow on the cookie smoother. When using this icing for flooding you really can't take your time because of this. I positioned my scribe horizontally so I could spread it quickly to the areas I wanted the icing to go before it had a chance to get gummy. When trying to outline a cookie I found that by holding the bottle up over the cookie, not so close, and barely squeezing the bottle, the results were better. I kept the outline inside the cookie away from the edge otherwise it will drip down the sides. It's not thick enough to outline cookies perfectly or make intricate designs like you can with thick royal icing in a pastry bag and a small tip. Let the outline dry for about 30 minutes before flooding. It takes practice to learn how much pressure to apply when squeezing the icing onto a cookie to get the results you want. The first few didn't come out so great from the icing dripping down the edges but the last few cookies looked a lot better. Make sure before putting the icing away that you clean the caps and nozzles thoroughly with hot water. The icing hardens and will plug up the nozzle hole. I also rinsed off the bottlenecks as well. It's great for when you don't have the time to make frosting, you just heat and squeeze, but I prefer to make my own in different flavors and consistencies.

    Perfect For Christmas Cookies
    Yes, icing is icing, but these red and green icing bottles are very generous - 6 1/2” tall, in fact. I can decorate LOTS of Christmas cutout cookies with these. I also like the adjustable flow squirt tops, which make it easier to do fine lines and dots. Wilton is always a high-quality and dependable brand for lots of baking needs, and these do not disappoint.

    Tastes good; hard to use
    I was really hopeful about this icing. I thought ready to decorate icing would be great for my kids to use on cookies. However, the bottle was quite hot after microwaving and was difficult to squeeze. We felt that once the icing started coming out, it was really runny (even if we didn't microwave it). This made making designs difficult. The icing tasted good though and my kids had a lot of fun using it. After about 10 minutes, the icing had mostly set and was well set after 20 minutes. The colors are a great shade of red and green....perfect for Christmas. One serving size is 2 tbsp for 120 calories. While it is made in a facility that processes milk, eggs and tree nuts, it is dairy free. The only allergen listed is soy.

    Great for Christmas Cookies!
    Can't wait until a few weeks before Christmas so we can try this out! Nice large sizes of green and red icings - and made in the USA, too! Wonderful! I'm sure the Grandkids will have lots of fun if they can make their own special cookie designs with this! Instructions say you need to microwave first, likely in intervals, but it still should work out great!

    Wilton Red and Green Cookie Icing Set, 2-Count is not only super easy to use. It taste delicious also. After working so hard making cookies make the frosting part super easy with these Wilton icings. Just pop in the microwave and keen, than decorate. I recommend this to anyone decorating with frosting.

    been a really big fan of Wilton holiday cookies decorating products, this come with 2 Easy-to-use squeeze bottle and they are Microwavable and quick-setting for making fast and easy treats, my holiday treat are always yummy looking when i use Wilton icing!
