Great Chairs
I purchased 8 of the unfinished chairs and was surprised that the surface is very smooth and ready for varnish, maybe just a little wipe with a tack cloth. The chairs are very well made. You do have to line up the seat before you screw it in place, but overall they were extremely easy to put together.

Great chair
I fell in love with the pottery. Arm chairs that look like these. You can tell a difference in the quality, but these were a third of the price so I'm ok overlooking it.

    Great Buy!
    The chairs are beautiful as shown online. They truly looks and feels like solid wood. The color of the chairs are as shown (a dark rich color). I was hoping to match the table I purchased separately with the chairs. Well, with the help of Hayneedle's Sale Representative it was matched perfectly. Assembly the chairs was easy except for the seat. It is a little tricky. The seat has one hole in the center under the bottom of the seat giving off a false indication that screw is to go into the hole. Nevertheless, with a little advice from a friend, I was able to put it together. You will need strength to properly tighten the screws.

    Parents be aware!!
    Beware of High Gloss! I loved these chairs. After one day I saw every single fingerprint from my children. They would be perfect if they were in a matte finish. They were sturdy and comfortable but I cant deal with the smudges!!

    Very happy with these chairs!
    We are so happy with these chairs! They look like something from Pottery Barn but so much less expensive! Excellent quality, and comfortable, and once you get the first one figured out, the assembly is pretty straightforward. We DO recommend carefully drilling some pilot holes when you attach the seat - not sure why there are not any?? I also chose to hand tighten all the bolts/screws with the enclosed tool and a screwdriver -not a drill - just to be sure not to over tighten and risk splitting the wood. FYI, one chair (of four total) did have some damage when it arrived, so I ordered another set and returned the damaged set. It was a bit of hassle but honestly worth it because these nice chairs are such a good price!

    Distressed Wood - Elegant and Simple Look
    There is nothing not to like about those chairs. Very well made, sturdy and definitely looks like a high end chair. I got the unfinished/distressed wood color and I couldnt be happier, it looks simple/elegant. Assembly/instructions are not extremely detailed but it is manageable.

    Perfect farmhouse diy chairs
    My husband built me a farmhouse table with benches and we have been looking for chairs to go with it. The problem has been trying to find chairs that match the stain of the table. These are perfect because we can match the stain ourself! They were a little time consuming to assemble but look great!

    LOVE these chairs!
    After looking and looking, I decided to purchase these chairs. I LOVE them! Hayneedle's picture is spot on! Securely packaged with easy to follow instructions (each chair took approximately 25 minutes to assemble). They are comfortable without a chair pad and are sturdy and beautiful. One of my boxes was damaged during shipment and, as a result, also one chair (I bought 6 chairs). The online return process was super easy and while bummed that I don't have all 6 right now, I don't mind waiting another week for the replacement!

    These chairs are beautiful! They match perfectly with my custom farmhouse table. Solid construction and packed perfectly from hayneedle. Took my husband about 25 minutes per chair to put together. Would definitely recommend!
