Buyer Beware!
I got this not even two weeks ago and it's been a problem pretty much from the time it came through the door. First, the assembly is impossible and we had to have someone come and assemble it for $150. Then the annoying squeaking began from the bolted together parts. Plus the straps are already coming apart on the pedals after not even two weeks. It's not at all solidly built and can't imagine it will last for a long time. I am extremely disappointed with it and am trying to return it which has not been easy. I had a Schwann for more than 10 years without a day of trouble. The Exterra bike was cheaper and I went with it thinking it was a deal which I was just plain wrong about. I repeat: DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE. It's a shoddy piece of goods. You have been warned.

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/26/2022Avoid this model, multiple issues.Seat adjustment is very hard to move forward or backward. Cannot move while seated, takes two people to move the one I got Pedal straps are junk, hard to attach loop to adjust to shoe size, falls off of loop peg while in use. Plastic shroud was broken, the halves are not held together, no way that I can see to secure one side with the other. Machine makes a clunking sound while riding. Would have returned, but it stayed in the box for about a month before I assembled it. I would avoid this particular model, probably have to by something more expensive to be servicable.Randall

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/08/2016Beware assemblyHayneedle referred me to an independent technician when I couldn't assemble the bike after struggling it out of the packaging and tape. Hard to wire and bolt together. Lucky the tech had helped many people taken in by claims of easy assembly and knew the machine well. Appears to work, but assembly was impossible. Guess we paid more to Paragon Sports to get a functional machine through the door we could work out on immediately.BrianNYC

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/28/2015Assembled with ease and works perfectlyI took my time, laid out all the parts and reviewed the assembly diagrams and instructions. Carefully followed the instructions to the letter and it assembled well. I took my time to read, check and re-read instructions before assembling and did not run into any problems. Th bike works exactly as it is supposed to. This was a great deal.Len

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/30/2014xterra sb2.5r recumbent bikeI'm over weight with a bad knee. the bike fits my needs very well.it's sturdy & quiet & well built. it arrived much earlier than expected & went together with very little trouble, but you will need your own tools, for sure. the programing is hard to figure though, so take your time & read all instructions carefully. if your older like me start out slowly. gave it 4 stars because of difficulty of understanding of programs.Hershel

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/26/2014Great service/price/productI Ordered this unit on the afternoon of the 22nd, it was shipped the 23rd and I received it the 25th. The box was badly damaged but do to excellent packing no damage to the unit. The bike was very easy to put together ( by following the instructions ) and an easy setup. Although crate weight was 118 lbs if unpacked and brought in by pieces most people should have no problems.William

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/22/2013Very HappyThe bike arrived less than a week after ordering. The box had one hole in it, but nothing was damaged. My husband assembled it in 2 hours following the adequate instructions. Love how quiet it is and the seat is very comfortable. The programs are good and easy to set. The information on the console is easy to read. I am very satisfied with it.Rebecca
