Still Tastes Nasty
How many gallons will be wasted before it starts tasting better? I haven't noticed better taste yet, and I've been using it about 3 weeks. My roommate just told me he likes the fluoridated/chlorinated unfiltered water better than the RO water, which tastes really nasty.

    Initial water output -
    The output came out very ugly-black liquid; although it was advised from the manual not to drink the initial output, it was very upsetting to see a black oily substance coming from the initial batch; The after taste of the water could not be eliminated with just some few flush-out, it took multiple flushes to eliminate the bad taste of the water; maybe I just got a bad factory batch; after several flushes, it came out OK - Im using it now.

    Highly recommend
    Easy to install, good value. My total dissolved solvents went from over 400 to 13. Keep in mind that the RO water is about 1/4th of the water that goes thru the system. Make sure you follow directions and run it for quite a few gallons to pack charcoal and get good to water.

    A bit bulky
    Yes, it's bulky and a bit tedious to set up, but once you have it up and running you'll realize the difference it makes. Price was reasonable for the great results in exchange.
