Beautiful light!
I know this Young Zone Seashell light is made your younger kids, but I'm 40 years old and I'm amazed with how gorgeous it is! The outer “shell” is a pearl like color and is open with the “pearl” sitting inside. You need to put 2 AAA batteries inside for it to light up and change rainbow colors. The shell is small enough to put on a table or nightstand. The glow that comes from this shell is the perfect amount of glow.

Absolutely adorable night light and decor piece
Really cute night light! This night light is absolutely adorable. For starters, the shell is made out of ceramic which gives it a quallity feel. The shell is also coated with an iridescent paint that makes it so beautiful. The pearl light inside feels like plastic, and when turned on cycles between at least 6 colors with some pretty shades showing in between (see photos). The only downsides to this lamp are that it does not have an auto shutoff, so if you are using it for a night light it will drain your batteries if left on overnight. When you need to change the batteries, it requires a small screwdriver to access the battery compartment which is a bit of a hassle but I believe is not the product's fault as all children's items have this for safety reasons. Also, there is no option to keep one color steady. Only giving 4 stars because it does not have an auto shutoff option and in my opinion that should be standard for a child's night light. However, overall this is an absolutely ADORABLE and unique night light that my daughter has been using every night since we received it and even if used for decor only it is worth getting.

    My daughter LOVES this light!
    So pretty and cute at the same time! My 6 year old daughter LOVES this light. She turns it on every night as a night light. The soft color changes of the "pearl" inside the shell lulls her to sleep. I am afraid of her carrying it around and dropping it. The "shell" seems like it is made of a ceramic material and would break if dropped on a hard surface. Based on that she is not allowed to move it (only to turn the switch on the bottom.)

    Beautiful display piece
    This perlite gives a nice ambience to any room. It is durable and has a nice selection of colors that it runs through. My granddaughter is obsessed with mermaids and absolutely loves this pearl light. It is nicely crafted with a pearl finished glaze.

    Super cute decor for a mermaid or beach theme. This is a very well made item and it came very well packaged. It is heavy ceramic and has a really nice iridescent paint job that makes it a beautiful piece even when the pearl isn't changing colors. There is a switch on the bottom to turn the pearl light on and off. If this item had an automatic off switch that would put it over the top. In my experience, the batteries seem to last a long time since I have left it on overnight at least twice and they are still going strong.

    Beautiful!
    This is a great addition to any child's room. The changing colors are so bright and vivid but not over bearing, works great as a nightlight. It runs off of 2 AAA batteries with an easy on and off switch which makes it easily portable and no fussing with cords. It's the perfect size especially if space is limited, not too big and not too small. The main part of it is ceramic with a beautiful pearl like finish. Highly recommended!

    Good light—with caveats
    This is a cute decorative light that we have used for the bathroom. The colors are strong but not overpowering. My only issue with the light is the battery life. There is not an auto sensor or motion sensor so your portions are on or off. That doesn't work well for my bathroom use. It might be a better light for putting kids to sleep and turning it off. It really is a cute light and I've had the battery life. Now, I've had it for a week and the batteries have not gone out, so I do not know how long they last, but I have also been full dad-mode with keeping the light off.

    This light takes on a life of it's own!!
    This pearl light was better than you can imagine!! I use it on my back porch which is a palapa, AKA tiki hut. It almost looks unreal it is so cool looking. The mother of Pearl finish on the shell reflects the colors from the pearl that is awesome! I could sit and watch it for hours. You need one of these for sure! It is the BOMB!! Worth every penny!!     Cool nightlight for kids!
    When I ordered this, I did not read the description and was not aware that this is made of glass or is battery operated. This light runs on two triple A batteries and glows different rainbow colors. After testing it out in my daughter's room, I've decided it is safe enough for kids with autism older than 5 or 6 years. My 4 year old loves this as well, but I do not trust younger kids around glass, so I would also purchase a shelf to place this on. The colors are great and this is my favorite piece in my daughters room. She loves it and will enjoy it for as long as I remember to keep it up in a high place.
