Dr Suess is still the greatest in kid's books
I read these for the first time over 50 years ago. Now I tutor first graders in reading and they love these books. Some off the books in this set are great for first graders and some, like The Sneetches may be better for a second grader. The Sneetches is the best book I have ever read on racism. It should be required reading for the human race. Long live Dr. Suess.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/07/2020Awesome BuyI remember these books from when I was a small child, so I thought they would be perfect for my toddlers, who are stuck at home during this COVID-19 quarantine. And I was right. The books are a success. My daughter loves them, we've read them every day and she hasn't minded that they are the same six books. I think she just likes to see her mom get tongue tied on some of the rhymes.Philip

The beginners collections is perfect and he has loved them. I will keep these with him forever and hopefully he will pass them on to his children in the future. Great keepsake!DARJ

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/06/2016A present for a childWho doesn't love Dr. Seuss, who didn't grow up reading his books? I loved these books as a child. A lot of them taught values and weren't just a story. The girl I got these for is just learning to read and does well in school. I'm hoping she continues on with her education and continues to learn. Children often have lots of toys but no books. I think they should be taught from an early age to value books. The best thing you can do for a child iis make sure they know how to read.Mesquite

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/08/2013Fun Read with Lots of Interesting VocabularyHonestly, I can't get my kid to sit down for these books yet. Though he's only 19 months. He prefers shorter stories, these are about 70 pages. However, reading through these books as an adult made me realize that because these books rhyme they introduce a lot of vocabulary that will be helpful when my son is a little older. I was going to buy a Dr. Seuss book at Toys 'R' Us, but my wife stopped me because she was sure I'd find it cheaper online. At that store a single book was $10. It had some frills, like fuzzy parts etc., but in my opinion the book is just fine without those. After checking online I found these, which averaged $5 a book. It's a great deal.parshy
