Why pay more for less?
My wife and I are big coffee drinkers, and insist on the best. We had a top brand coffee grinder that "died" after 3 or 4 years, and couldn't find another like it, so we got the Mr Coffee grinder while we looked. We've stopped looking for our "old favorite" coffee grinder!! The Mr Coffee grinder is better than what we had - it's our "new favorite"

Fool me once, fool me twice.
I have nothing bad to say about this, except is malfunctions quickly. Bought one and in a month it stopped working as it had been. Really liked it, so returned it and got a replacement. In a couple of weeks this one stopped grinding correctly. There is a definite problem with the internal workings. Bought a newer model Mr. Coffee burr grinder, a week or so in and is still working. We shall see.

What a mess! Beautiful grind though.
Let's be clear, the grind is great and consistent. However, the two big issues are the mess that is made and the sound. Transferring the grounds from the canister to my vacuum seal container without making a mess is futile. Oh, and it is sooo loud! Granted, I'm not a morning bird, but even mu morning bird spouse finds it close to an aircraft jet. Returning this and hunting for something easier to clean up and no where near as loud. My pics are too big to post.

    Basic coffee grinder
The grinder itself works fine. However, the plastic hopper totally disconnected/broke off from the unit after about 6 months of use. It's still technically usable, but the hopper falls off when the grinder is bumped or moved a certain way. Mr. Coffee did send a replacement at no charge. However, I would probably choose a different grinder if I needed to purchase one again.

    A bit disappointed.
I bought this mill grinder to replace my blade grinder. Overall I like my mill grinder. The one issue I have is that the grounds stick to the sides and top of the container that catches the grounds. When I open the container to remove the grounds they fall all over my counter.

Loved this grinder - but something is wrong
I got this grinder in December 2018. We have used it almost daily since then and I have had no issues. However, lately coffee grounds have been splling out the BOTTOM of the grinder. Can the folks at Mr Coffee help?

    Mr. Coffee Burr Mill Grinder
We went thru many coffee grinders before we found this one at our local Walmart Superstore and were we every happy! This is a great product to replace the same great product that we absolutely worked to death. We are lovers of really good, freshly ground coffee and this Mr. Coffee burr grinder is the best we've found for any price. And the fact that we could order it direct from Walmart online and have it delivered right to our front door was wonderful for me plus it saved gas and wear and tear on our car. That, for me, is a new and wonderful convenience. As you might have guessed, I'm a first time orderer from Walmart online but I can certainly recommend it as being easy and efficient. Plus, you can find things online that may be out of stock in your store or are either no longer carried in your location. If you're local store is like mine, you can't shop at night because the shelves are always picked clean and empty and the things you want are never there. Not that way online.

French Press (Coarse Grounds) - Good Grinder
I've only had this for about a week and I use it to grind coarse grounds for a French press. I've used it twice to fill a canister of grounds. So far the unit has ground the beans consistently, which is necessary with a French press (it gets really difficult to press the coffee if there's too many fine grounds in it). The only hitch I've really noticed is that sometimes the beans don't pay through to the burr like they're supposed to, which I assume is due to their oiliness. Aside from that, I'm pleased with it; it's doing the same high-quality job I got from the Capresso grinder that I replaced.

    Used to Higher Quality
We had a Cuisinart burr grinder before and thought the Mr. Coffee brand which looked like a similar design would work fine. We were disappointed. The hopper doesn't allow the beans to flow very well and the motor doesn't seem strong enough to grind without straining. I was concerned that it just wouldn't last that long. We took it back and purchased the Cuisinart which was $10 more.

    Absolutely the Best
I've had several coffee grinders--Sunbeam, Oster, GE. This is by far the best. It's quieter, makes a more consistent grind, is easier to clean, and has a neat way to set just how much coffee you want. When it hits that amount, it shuts off automatically. You don't have to guess how much ground coffee you're going to get. And for heaven's sake, only get a burr grinder like this one. Blade grinders do a lousy job!

Love this machine! Price point makes it better.
I use this for espresso only. This machine got a lot of good reviews so I took a chance. I can return it if it performs poorly for grinding espresso. Well this machine isn't going back! I always had my beans ground from my local coffee shop. Number 2 on their machine which is very fine. Only trouble is a noticeable drying out of the grounds within a few days which produces poor crema. Now with this machine I don't have that trouble anymore. Grind what I need when I need it. I like the fine grind it does. Comparible to what the coffee shop was doing for me (it is on the finest setting to do this). Works perfectly with my espresso machine. I can put 3/4 of a pound of beans in the holder and the lid fits tight enough that I notice no drying out what so ever.

Low Priced but good Burr Mill
I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a Burr Mill. This mill does a good job. Several settings for the amount of coffee you want to grind. Plus the grind size you want. I found the mill to be average on the level of noise it makes. The mill does make a lot of coffee dust, but it's easy to clean. Over all a average mill, but you get what you pay for. I would buy another when needed.

Great Burr Mill Grinder for the Price!
I roast my own coffee and am very particular about my grind. When my wife picked up this grinder I was skeptical... I had a much more expensive grinder in mind but I gave it a try anyway. It does a fantastic job and has some very nice features that I really like. First of all, it is a burr mill and not a blade grinder. Blade grinders beat the coffee bean into submission and give very inconsistent grinds. This burr mill does a very nice job. Secondly, this burr mill allows for me to grind up to 18 cups worth of grounds at a time, so if I want to make my coffee very strong I don't have to grind twice. Third, the grind settings are very easy to use and allow me to control my drip time... finer settings give me a slow drip... coarser settings give me a faster drip. I can control the taste of the coffee using these settings. (I prefer a setting slightly finer than the "drip" setting for a little slower drip. Fourth, after buying this grinder I did some research and found a website that rated this as one of the "Top Ten" economical coffee grinders on the market... it was actually rated as #6. Fifth and last, I like the ease of using this grinder and it's durability to date. I put fresh beans in the hopper each morning and hit the grind button for great coffee... it is actually quicker than digging out the old store-bought canister, opening it, and measuring it... and it is much better than you could ever buy in a supermarket. I like it so much that I am buying two more for my kids #who are grown and have their own kids#. I know they will love this grinder and they will be able to enjoy some great coffee.
