The Finish I've Been Looking For
Minwax fast drying polyurethane in the Warm Ultra Flat finish is the result I've been looking for! Gives you that hand rubbed oil finish without all the hard work. As I read other's reviews it's clear to me that most issues are user error and the comments should be considered as such. I wish I had found this a long time ago!

Turns yellow
I used minwax CLEAR polyurethane to seal my kitchen cabinets that I had just redone in a white. With in 1 week my cabinets are now streaked with yellow tint from this product. I now have to resend and redo my entire kitchen over. 2 months of work wasted plus the money I will have to spend to repaint. It also left the cabinets tacky this causing the paint to peal where doors close and open. I will never use your product again!

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/07/2022Deer head live edge coffee tableMy boyfriend used Minwax Polyurethane spray after using another product on a project, and he really noticed the difference. So when it came to my Dearhead Coffee Table project for me, He didn't think twice! The results of the Satin finish brought a low shimmering luster, enhancing the beauty of the walnutPJWalk26

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/03/2022Works very well..I have used varied minwax products....from oil to water. Reading comments, I can only think they either put too much on, didn't prep surface, or rushed. Products are durable and have not had any one send a piece back from either the coat or stain failure. Most of the time, letting stuff just dry is a critical component.Adam

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/18/2022This stuff is a nightmare!I am trying to use this on a guitar and that is nothing but a mistake. First off do not try to hang the guitar because this product will run no matter how thin you put it on. Second sometimes it goes on good, sometimes it doesn't. It's very inconsistent. Third if you lay your project flat the polyurethane seems to separate and make it look like orange peel. I am hoping after it cures I'll be able to buff and wax it to make it look some what good. I am super disappointed with this product. I do not recommend using it.Sludge band

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/03/2021Easy to get good resultsI'm a fan of this product. I put on a coat, lightly sanded with 220 grit then put on a second coat and it is very good, nearly perfect. As others have stated, the odor is fairly obnoxious, especially the first coat on bare wood. My project is out in my shop so that's not an issue. It takes about a week to disappear. The spray can product is worse, might take two weeks. I can see coating an entire floor in a bedroom you may need a gas mask. The first night I could smell it from outside my shop after the doors were closed within about 10 feet. If this is an issue for you Minwax makes a water based Polycrylic which is almost odor free but I find it a bit more difficult to get good results especially on pine. The polyurethane is simpler to use in my experience.DaveLS

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/05/2021Not dry as can directions say- 4-6 hrs is bogus. This is my third try after stripping 2 times. Humidity was under 49% with temp at 80 degrees. Left job at 11 am. Came back at 6 pm. Product is lacking enough dryers to preform as directed. Imt done with All Minwax products!Artistic Ken

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/27/2020As advertisedI don't know what the bad reviews are for when it's obviously operator failure, glass finish and depth galore... Haven't even buffed it, I did it 12 hours ago and looks like this!Grandpapp

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/08/2020*NOT CLEAR*One spray coat of the clear satin completely changed the color of my closet door. Trying to flip closet doors from a condo. Renter put holes in them. Top right is original face of the doors, bottom right is original backside of the doors. VERY close match. Just seemed to be lacking a finish coat. Sprayed clear satin on the back side of the door to the left. You can't tell me that's clear.TDS76

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/19/2018My number 1 choiceMy first experience with Minwax products was back in 1985. I built a new primary residence and acted as general contractor. The company that finished the hardwood floors used Minwax stain and topcoated with Minwax semi-gloss polyurethane. Man did the floors look good and the durability was excellent! I have since built three new homes and renovated one. Minwax products have always been used and my number one choice for ease of application, appearance and durability. Being an avid woodworker, I also use Minwax aerosol for small projects and touch-up. Minwax and wood go together like soup and sandwich.JDA1

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/06/2018Consistent, professional resultsI have been using Minwax's Fast-Drying Polyurethanes for years. I've tried a few other brands, but keep coming back to Minwax for a few reasons: 2nd (and higher) coats, if put down 24 hours after the initial coat, dry to the touch within an hour, minimizing dust spots; ---- the results are consistent from can to can. I can re-poly part of a project years later and see the same gloss level. ---- The additional of thinner or brushing aids appears to increase the adhesion and improve the appearance when used as a first coat on previously finished surfaces.PS-Camb

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/06/2018Love The SprayI have been a long time user of all Minwax products. The stains, polyurethanes, including Polycrylic and wipe on poly. I started using the spray polyurethane on several small projects a few years ago and I absolutely love it. If you follow the instructions and do several light coats 2 hours apart, it will give you a professional looking finish on all wooden surfaces. I've used the satin, semi gloss and the gloss. I haven't been disappointed yet. I love the way the spray nozzle turns to spray horizontally and vertically. I have had no problems with the nozzle clogging, even after storing cans for several months. I am a fan of all Minwax products and I plan on using them for many years to come.Chairman
