I have loved Sony for 40 years
I believe the first Sony I had was a monster 35 inch tube tv. The only problem I ever had with it was getting rid of it. When my 38 year old son was young he had a 13 inch Sony in his room. What a gorgeous picture for the time. I still have a 52 inch in the bedroom that was originally in the living room, but now have finally graduated to this 75 inch thing of beauty. The features are easy to use, the picture is remarkable and I just love everything about it.

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/14/2021My choiceI have two of these televisions. I love the Sony brand and have had others. These smart televisions however do not allow the Apple Plus app. I'm disappointed with this. Also it seems to turn off itself reboot and then some back on. Beautiful picture on both of these setsAvis2

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/21/2021Do not do the updatesI've had this TV for about a year picture is ok. It's expensive for what you get. I haven't hooked up to my home theater AV receiver the last update has completely changed the way it functions with my AV receiver I can no longer use the Sony TV remote to control my AV receiver or my satellite box. I contacted Sony support they were absolutely useless. You cannot reverse the update I would recommend a different a different brand of TV.Not A happy Sony tv owner

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/09/2020Great picture ease of setupSwitched from Samsung for an easier online features. So far so good. The picture is fantastic. I only gave 4 stars because I bought a Bose Sound Bar and there is no code to connect the Boss Universal Remote. Contacted both Bose and Sony. Both identified that paring code 0000. It appears that Song wants you to use their sound bars. No where on the spec sheets does Bose or Sony state that Sony is not compatible with Bose. The Bose sound bar worked fine on 2 other model tv. Otherwise I'm happy.Grody

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/22/2020Shipped brokenTV was delivered with a broken screen. It was obvious this TV had been repackaged and sent broken as the screen was shattered right where heavy Styrofoam was protecting it. I boxed it back up with a note inside that said "this TV was shipped broken". I hope none of you that order this TV find that note, but if you do, now you know it has probably been re-shipped multiple times. Also I contacted Walmart support about having the TV picked up for the return as it is heavy. I was told that it wasn't possible, they don't offer pickup. Well after contact USPS, I learned differently, USPS does pickup. The TV was picked up within a day or two.Patti

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/02/2020Sony does it againYou can never go wrong with a Sony after all real movies are Filmed with Sony cameras and the tv picks up it's own signal to produce a picture in 4k like the director intended to be seen. I love it. All I wish is that it came with the Netflix calibration tab for Netflix Sony calibrate on. Option I thought all models carry. Sad. especially when my tv was in the magnolia room feature.Master Sony son

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/26/2019Initial thoughts - 55X800GWe've only owned this TV for 2 weeks as of this review. There is a learning curve for this product as there is for everything but it is fairly intuitive. Our previous, and still functional, TV was a 43 in. JVC w/Roku which we were very pleased with when purchased 5-6 yrs ago. This Sony is set-up about 72 in. from where we sit and the vertical center of the screen is at eye-level. So far, my wife and I both agree that the picture and sound quality of this Sony are outstanding and far better than any TV we've owned before. Moreover, this is even with old-style inputs of cable TV and component video connections from cable box. (Local cable provider is soon going to upgrade boxes for HDMI.) The WiFi streaming (via a 10+yr old router ~20 ft. away in another room) has been superb with literally no lag, jitter or pixelation. Almost more amazingly, the response times of the TV to both the remote and WiFi have been surprisingly fast. As previously noted, there is a learning curve with both the remote and the TV settings. However, even at age 67 (though computer literate for 35+ yrs), it hasn't been difficult to figure out. It is very satisfying and surprising that the new remote will also control our 15+ yr-old Sony Blu-ray player without additional codes or programming. Thank you, Sony!! The buttons/controls on the remote are nicely arranged and relatively easy to get to using one hand. However, they might be a bit difficult for people with large or arthritic fingers. Overall, we are both quite happy with our new Sony TV and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. We had thought about getting a 65 in. but decided that would be too big for our small (<500 sq. ft.) living room and we're glad we bought the 55 inch. Almost can't wait to upgrade our DVD player to one capable of 4K HDR to see the full benefit of this technology. In the meantime, even with older, lower definition inputs, this TV shines brilliantly! The Colie

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/02/2019I'm brand loyalI am loyal to sony but have to say, this time, I am somewhat disappointed. The picture quality is not to different than my last sony. It's missing features, that my last one had, that I liked but not transferred to this one. Would have liked a more comprehensive "smart" functionality as well.BRacca

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/23/2019Exceeded my expectationsFor a 75inch tv it has a very nice picture and I couldn't be more happy with my purchase, the app setup is fairly easy to use but that's because I came from being a Samsung tv user, but got used to it very quickly, plays my movies off my usb very easy and no hiccups, and looks great on my wall!Huffintin
