Superb Networking!
Best router I've ever owned, great features for gamers and large networks! I had tried netgear routers before this, and bit the bullet and bought the nicest netgear equivalent to the asus ax11000. It had horrible speeds. In fact the one Comcast rents was giving me close to a gig on all devices. Well that was before I had 10 cameras and 20 or so different IoTs devices. Luckily I am getting close to that on the game mode of the ax11000 and network is still functioning great even though using boost game mode which prioritizes which device you select. This did not slow down the rest of my network which I was expecting. So considering leaving in boost game mode for the two most used devices. Thank you asus for always having the best when it comes to the high end computer hardware!

Went Bad on Setup Hopefully Asus Makes it Right
I had high hopes for this router to be the backbone of my mesh network including the AX92U's as nodes. BUT, during initial setup, the app froze, then router started to emit a strange electrical smell. The lights in front and the aura right flashed on and off slowing in repetition until completely off. Never had this happen in 20yrs of IT(with router). I know it's capabilities but can't speak of real world use because it died within 15 minutes of being plugged in. Bummed.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/01/2022Best Router I've ever had.Fast! Huge difference on my Wifi from my old net gear r6700v3 router. Had 243.4 download mbps & 271.8 UL mbps with my nighthawk. I got 709.3 DL & 925.6 UL with my new ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 router & cat 6a cable. I also get 6e Wifi on my phone now, No regrets on this purchase.Lone-Bullet78

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/14/2022A Strong Foundation for my AiMesh NetworkThis router is the foundation of my network. I saw my speeds increase as I connected it as the main router for my AiMesh which connects to my two other ASUS routers consisting of the GT-AC5300 and the RT-AC5300. The entire AiMesh system works great around my home/office.PSSTPilot

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/08/2022Easily Integrates with Older AIMESH Asus modelsWith the number of devices I have installed in my home (Alexa Echo's, Smart Switches, plugs light bulbs, Smart TV's, and Rings Security system - Door/window sensors, motion detectors, 8 cameras inside and out, Smoke/CO2 detectors) I needed a more robust system which could handle the traffic and be able to integrate with my existing Asus routers (Have 2 - RT-AC88U's, 1 RT-AX88U and 1 GT-AC5300). I performed a completed factory reset on all of my routers and installed my new GT-AX11000. The installation took less than 30 minutes to do. Once I had this router setup, I started the AIMESH setup by adding my existing routers one at a time. For both the GT-AC5300 and RT-AX88U, they installed into the AIMESH fairly quickly. It took the RT-AC88U's a while longer, understandably since these are older models, yet they joined the network and worked perfectly. There was a comment in one of the reviews which indicated "This router does not work well if you have Spectrum 1GB service". I have to say this comment is false, I have Spectrum 1GB Service and my Speed tests directly from the GT-AX11000 averages downloads 978MBPS and my upload average 57.2MBPS. These averages were taken after I ran OOkla's SPEEDTEST POWERED directly from the router 6 times. I am very impressed with the results. Visually, this router looks like an upside down spider, however it looked great sitting in my living room entertainment center (See Picture). My wife called it abstract and worked well with her decore. I am very please with the device considering it does support a large home with many network devices. Granted this device is not cheap, yet what it can do and how many devices it can handle was well worth the cost.David D

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/31/2021Amazing all around! Best in class!!!Exceptional router. I live in a larger 5.5k sf multi-level Cape style house and paired this with 3 of the smaller 6000 series routers. To sat it works amazing is an understatement. The mesh system and set up was a breeze. I highly recommend Asus. Ive had a couple high prices Netgear solutions and their support is lackluster. They want a credit card before answering a simple question. I also found the forums and online information scattered. Asus stands by their solutions and this is really best in class. The app works flawlessly.dannystune

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/30/2021Nice router with some problemsJust bought the new router. It's quite a piece of gear. The problem I had was that it kept dropping all my Tp-Link smart device clients every few seconds which made the whole thing a mess. After doing some research I concluded that it was a firmware update in September that started the difficulty so I downgraded the firmware to July and now it works great. When they get there ducks in a row over at Asus, this router will be a rock star.Kitsap Craig

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/29/2021shiny but the same?I found the update to the OS interface Fantastic. But the wireless speed was not better than i could get with my old Ac-5300 router. I worked on channels, bands, wifi 6 connections and each setting i could find but could not get the speed over 350 mb. I have 1200 MB download speed, fiber service.Niffin

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/31/2021Great Router with some minor deceptionsFast and powerful WIFI router. Internet speeds are incredible as long as you have an ISP that supports it. The router application is not the most user friendly and some of the options you need to be familiar with technology/networking. Over all is a great solid product and my only complaint is the Gamer Radar option. It only has preset games that you can view the PING but it doesn't have a list from where you can choose a game that you play. It seems that ASUS has other router models that provide a different type of setup options but this one doesn't.AC

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/06/2021An Excellent RouterWhile being oddly shaped, this router's performance is amazing. I live in a larger house with many internet-enabled devices and this router handles it with ease. It even eliminated the need for a range extender which was required with my previous arrangement! The UI is very good and offers a variety of settings, making it quite flexible. Highly recommended!Greg I

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/01/2021Dual GT-AX11000 in AIMeshI have two GT-AX11000 routers in an AIMesh configuration with a CAT6 backhaul. The wired backhaul keeps 100% of the wireless bandwidth available for wireless devices. The mesh network fills in a couple of weird dead spots that I had (happened with other routers too) and also allows for hard-wired connections for my entertainment center downstairs and in my office upstairs. I have a 600Mbps Comcast connection that regularly gets between 8-900Mbps. My wireless devices are getting right at the same speeds as the wired desktops. My home is a 2500 square foot two-story on a third acre lot and I have solid 5GHz WiFi 6 coverage in every corner of my house and yard. I was amazed at how many devices we have on or network when I counted them up. (which is easy to do in the router's interface) Between TVs, phones, pads, laptops, Roku/Fire sticks, multiple Alexas, Ring devices, Apple watch, DVD/BlueRay - You get the idea... they really add up! We will often have streaming on multiple devices, browsing and gaming all at the same time and these routers handle it without a glitch. TBH - I know that the setup I have is overkill and I could have built out a solid network for a lot cheaper but it happened in stages and just grew into what it is. I really wrestled with buying the second AX11000 when I knew that other, less expensive, Asus routers would have worked just fine. Now that it's done however - I couldn't be happier with the performance and feel good about having a network which will last well in to the futureDirtyDean

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/10/2021Good routerSuper fast. Look amazing. The app is easy and great to manage. I have a 2 floors home at the second floor i am getting 2.3 g. Of speed wifi I did not guive 5 because i was disappointed of the distance after 20 feet drops speed to 95 mbs wifi i feel they want to push the mesh system For this router at 2.4mhz. Should be like the net gear fast atv100 feetsDonkey

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/04/2021Problem with Internet connectivityI am having a terrible time maintaining Internet connectivity. Every two or three days the red light comes on my router and Internet conductivity stops until I powered down the router and power it backup. I'm using a Spectrum provided cable modem and they tell me there have been no alarms or indications of problems from their modem. I did try a new cat8 cable between the modem and the router with no change. Even traded out the cable modem with spectrum with no change. Quite exasperating in that I cannot prove whether this is a cable modem, cable provider or ASUS router problem.MikeB

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/02/2021ASUS Rapture GT-AX1 1000 routerThe GT AX1 1000 was just what I needed to distribute new fiber optic cable service in my home. It's positioned in a 3rd floor room of my three-story home with nine foot ceilings. Signal strength is good throughout the home, and even the backyard, during most times of day. (I occasionally get some re-buffering on the TV in the lower level during especially busy times of day.) Adding another ASUS router in the lower level should solve that problem, and the addition sounds like a seamless plug and play using the AiMesh feature. I love the Tri-band (one 2.4GHz + two 5Ghz bands) feature, and have my unit configured to auto-select the band with the least amount of traffic for all connected wireless devices/clients. Also, one band can be prioritized for a particular application, a great feature for gamers. Or one band can be isolated just for guest-use. I wanted a WiFi 6 router, to accommodate that standard for many newer devices/clients, and the GT-AX fits that bill. The unit is futuristic-looking even though the 8 external antennas look weird (picture an upside down spider). The Aura RGB feature illuminates the symbol on the top with changing lights, a cool feature since it's not located in a room where I sleep. Accessing the router remotely with a mobile device is a pleasure, allowing for settings and features adjustments on a well-designed, intuitively laid-out website. The purchase of this ASUS router was a good choice, and I'd make that choice again.GaryW

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/31/2021Great performance! So far, the ASUS GT-AX11000 router has been performing flawlessly. The GT-AX11000 was easy to setup, and my wireless devices connected to the router without any issues. I am very impressed with the range it is able to detect my 61 wireless devices. The square footage of my house is 2100 sq. ft. So far, my furthest devices are performing with easy, and I am receiving good download and upload speed. I would highly recommend the ASUS GT-AX11000 router to anyone who has a demand to services over 60+ wireless devices, that gives great coverage for a large area.ASUS987

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/26/2021Awesome Router, Support and reliability. This router is awesome to say the least. If you are tacky or geek or game player and have the skills to manipulate the speed needed for gaming for work for fun then don't be intimidated by this router. Setting up this router is easy changing its settings can be a challenge but rewarding. It's worth the money if you have the need for speed no pun intended.JL /
