Loving it!
This is the first tv Ive owned in a decade. To go from no tv- to having this- has been great fun! As I dont have traditional tv service, I had to have a smart tv to work w my intended use of streaming Netflix and Hulu and this has perfectly fit the bill. I live next to a noisy highway, and the sound has been great... Im able to hear over the traffic. Setting up Netflix and Hulu was easy, even for me, someone who has exclusively used a computer for a decade. Im thoroughly enjoying this purchase and the value Im getting for the cost cannot be beat!

Seek the 2022 model
Had a weird screen splotch when I powered on. Found a 2022 model (43S455) at another retailer. There is no comparison between this one and the new version. I'm actually glad this one was defective.

    Nice TV, back mounts too low
    TV is nice for the money but the mounts on the back are way too low so when you use your already existing wall mount you have to move the while thing down about 4-6 inches or it sits way too high. Other than that I always used a ROKU so having it all in one is pretty nice.

    I just want to start with, I never write reviews, but I'd like to share my problem with this TV Bought this 9/10/22…been hearing humming sounds when it's on anything but low power mode. (Which started a few weeks ago). On top of that, went to turn it on tonight and it froze, but it didn't just freeze though, it froze with pixels out- colored lines all over the screen. Couldn't turn it off or anything. Had to fully unplug and let it sit. After these two issues, in a little over a month I will be exchanging it. This is the first time I have personally bought a TCL, we have two other TCL's in the house- that have no issues. Could I have just gotten a defective TV? Of course. If it wasn't for these two issues I wouldn't be exchanging. The sound quality its great, the color is amazing, the picture is crisp.

    We haven't had this one long, but we took a chance about 4 years ago after being lifelong Sony buyers. That one has been exceptional, so hope we find this to be the same.

    Arrived with Broken Screen.
    Like so many others, broken screen. Get it out of the box, set it up, turn it on, broken screen. There was NO DAMAGE to the box at all. It's a lot of fun spending time, unboxing, setting it up, reboxing, taking it back to Walmart, wait at CS desk (or send back by UPS). Why waste time?

    Flimsy piece of Junk for a TV`
    Piece of Junk! So flimsy that when I went behind my TV my leg barley touch it and knocked it over and busted my 1 month old TV. The legs are made of a cheap plastic and definitely not strong enough to hold up a 65 inch TV! It broke the plastic screen and now all you can see on the screen is lights and cracked lines all through the screen. I am so upset. I'm going to call the company and see if they will do right and refund me for this poor quality of a tv.

    Forget HiSense tvs. TCL is way to go!!
    Although the volume needs to be higher I did find that if you go into settings. It fixes that. Anyways. I ordered a 58in tv was a hiSense brand tv and after getting it mounted and turned on the screen was broke. So much for fed ex delivery. But I was able to get it refunded and I took the gift card and went for the TCL 65” smart Roku tv. Got it all set up and have been happy ever since. Now. Let see if it lasts long. Lol keeping fingers crossed but I do have to say. TCL is turning into a quality brand now. I love the picture!!!

    PLEASE DONT BUY
    Please read all the one star reviews and save yourself the money! 3 months in and the screen is dark. It will turn back on in “Movie” mode only but I don't think it'll last long. This is a terrible TV.

    Terrible TV. DO NOT BUY
    This TV is supposed to be used for my home gym. I just bought it in April 2021. It is now January 8, 2022 and the screen is going out on it already. The colors are all fading. I guess you get what you paid for. The Vizio that I had prior lasted me at least 7-8 years. It's a big disappointment as this is my first TCL product. I trashed the box so I'm not sure how can even get a refund or warranty to replace it.

    If you like a TV that constantly gets itself stuck in recovery mode in which you cannot watch TV or do anything this is definitely the TV for you wonderful purple screen talking about an update that will never happen every time it resets itself it comes back to the screen screen

    Dead pixel top left corner of the screen. I figured it would be some packaging issue since it's shaped like a staple but regardless of that, the screen is amazingly beautiful. Still returning or replacing.

    TCL | ROKU TV recovery mode means Game Over
    One of the worst purchases ever. I have only purchased this product back in March-2021. The TV works fine until it gets switched off suddenly. We recently had a power outage and the TV went off. When the power resumed, we found out that the TV went to "RECOVERY MODE" never to return back to the regular processing. we tried multiple methods after checking youtube but the TV just automatically goes back to RECOVERY MODE. One of my worst purchases ever.

    I bought this tv Oct. 2020 and the screen has already gone out. I also had to turn the volume up high just hear the sound. I have it in my bedroom and only watch it at night. Hopefully TCL will replace it.

    The search for the perfect television

    I recently bought this tv last week and I'm really impressed with it amazing picture, great sound, easy set up and it saves you money instead of those high end tvs, if you want a tv that's affordable TCL is the way to go, I'm not just saying this cause it's the first 4k tv I bought it took me a couple years to decide what tv to get and research I originally wanted a 65 inch but decided to get a 50 inch tv instead and I'm glad I made that decision cause the tv is the perfect size for my stand I don't have anything negative to say about the tv and I would buy TV's again from this brand in the near future

    Excellent Quality Viewing and Sound!
    I wanted to purchase a Roku Smart TV for my master bedroom so I can be able to tune in to the Bible channels, and this TCL 43 inch Roku Smart TV worked perfectly. Installation was a breeze, the picture quality is excellent, the size is dynamic and the sound is absolutely great. Now, I no longer have to connect my lab top to a regular tv and log-in to see the Bible channels that I love, because the TCL Roku Smart TV does it all. It's saves time and space. I definitely love it!

    Not for use in a bedroom
    As TV's go this is a good buy but if you don't want a bright night light in your room, don't get this TV. The remote uses infrared which is invisible BUT the receptor is clear plastic and is lit up by LEDs until the TV is turned on. That means you have a bright light shinning in your bedroom that lights up the whole room. See photo. Poor design. If you cover the plastic LED the TV remote won't work.

    Great TV, audio needs a boost, soundbar please
    I love this TCL brand! It's the 3rd set that I've purchased. I have a 43”, bought a 50” for Dad and now a 65” for Mom and I. My one and only con is the sound on TCL tvs. I agree with the other reviewers... you need to buy a sound bar... especially on the 65”. Everything else is comparable to the big ticket tv brands. Plus it has more HDMI outlets and the picture is really nice. Also, I love that it is a Roku plus I can use my fire stick with Alexa verbal too! A WIN!!!
