Small Fix made bike go Zero to Hero
At first I though I had a faulty bike, as I was doing 90% of the work. It was melting my thighs with the added weight of the battery and motor. I rode it 40 miles and the battery was still at a full 4 battery bars, so either this thing has incredible range, or somethings up. Come to find out there's a rectangle shaped sensor near the pedal it uses to detect how fast you're pedaling. A small wire goes to it. It was bent out way out of place, most likely during shipping. Essentially the bike never thought it was moving so the motor never kicked in. I bent the sensor back close to the magnets, this thing took off! For 250 watts it is not playing around. As far as the bike goes, the seat is a little small for me. Im 5' 10", so was on the tall end for this bike. The 29" version may have been a better bet. I do wish there was an extra 7th gear. Once this thing gets going fast, the 6th gear seems a little under pace, especially for downhills. Im 180 lbs and the front fork seems to compress too easily. Will be making small modifications to it over time, glad I went cheap so I can put up the $$$ for the mods. TLDR: So if you feel like the bike isn't pushing you much, double check that sensor by your feet/pedals is in place. Very solid ebike for the price, but dont expect highest quality parts.

Damaged product
This product was delivered damaged. It wont stay charged for more than an 1hr or 15 miles. The box looks like it was tossed around. The instructions say do not drop. Also the chain fell off 2 times for literally no reason. Also I cant set up online to return it. Very frustrated.

    DO NOT BUY!!!
Do not purchase at all. Cheap construction and will leave you stranded. I by no means qualified this as an off road mountain bike or even a trail bike more or a heavy commute bike. But when your peddles are fine and then all of a sudden because of the cheap steel cranks the threads give out and mind you they were checked to make sure they weren't cross threaded before hand but when you lose your peddles from out from under you yeah no thanks also a 36v battery and only 250w hub motor yeah no thinks I'll save the money from the return and get a higher in bike and buy a Bafang kit or a Cyc X1 kit before buying another hyper bike.

    Small piece but super important
When your bike doesn't work all of a sudden ( at least that is what happened to me recently), please check the sensor piece and the magnetic wheel! I thought it was the battery problem because it has been almost a year since my purchase and I have been using this bike for commuting once a week. But it turns out the magnetic circle is far from the sensor piece (slide closer to the chain wheel). Everything is perfect and this bike is steady to run in the city road ( and bonus it is fast!)

great ride for money fast for a 67 year old
hi riders i'm a 67 year old male 5'8" 200 lb. and wanted to start riding again, I have to say this bike is great. Lets me go all over the place even the bike paths in my town. Bike was not comfy to ride at first because seat was to small and handlebars were to low. With a couple add ons [see pics ] of seat and bars it is great. Was very simple to put together and with a little adjustment rides like a normal bike. Pebble assist didn't work at first but bent the bracket a little [ like i saw in other post ] and wow it takes off fast for and 67 year old to ride. Low is nice still gives you a work out in top gear, 2nd speed very nice but not as good of work out, but 3rd with very little pedal movement in top gear speed goes fast for me. wish it had more gears to get better work out in low and middle speeds. Seems to be a well built bike for the money. Try to post more after couple months on how good it keeps going. All in all very happy with my first e-bike.

    Awesome!!!
I bought both the e bike mountain 26” and 29”. They both came fed ex with a little damage to the box, but they are packed so well, neither bikes were damaged. The assembly was very simple. I reviewed these e bikes on YouTube before purchasing with some negative reviews but mostly positive,” Im not a hard core trail rider”. I wanted a bike that can legally be ridden on the bike/walk paths in my neighborhood and these bikes being a class 1 made them legal. The assist works very well. The derailer shifts through the gear cassette smoothly, the 29” has disc brakes that stops the bike very well and the 26” has the rim brakes that is a little noisy but works just as well. I have yet had any issues with chain popping off on the 26” but again, we are not hard on these bikes. I waiting a couple days before writing this review to give these bikes a fair shake, but after the first ride I was giving these bikes a five. I did have to choose another seat, once you get my age, you will understand. They are and do exactly as I imagined and advertised.

I love this bike and so does everyone who tries it
This is a heck of a value. I've been meaning to get back into biking but my old $90 Walmart special just didn't do a lot to encourage me to get out there. So, as someone a bit unconditioned for riding for anything involving a hill, this is a perfect way to get back into it, and for a great unregrettable price. When a few friends take off on it for a test spin, they take off down the street and when I see them coming back, all 3 of them pulled up with big grins on their faces. One even had me help her order one and put it together for here (which is fairly simple to do)! The battery is fantastic and especially if you don't leave it running the whole time. When you activate the assist on the handlebar controller, it's in mode 1, which is low, and 2 is medium and 3 is high. I like to leave it off so there's no assist and then activate it when I feel like I could use the boost. Not only is that helpful for the battery and how long it'll last, but I'm also trying to get in some exercise, lol,. Imagine that! This is a great bike if you are commuting or riding around in any sort of super non-off road situation. I don't plan on taking this on extreme off road trails, just on bike trails, pavement, and some grass and dirt occasionally. The chain fell off once but it took 5 seconds to fix once I identified where to click it back on. Also, I'll probably upgrade the seat and perhaps some other parts eventually, but it really is great as it is now. I love it!!

    Pretty decent for the price
I like the price on this entry level Ebike. The only thing I didn't like was that it doesn't have a throttle so that you could 100% use the motor to take you by itself when you get tired of using the pedals.

Dead after less than 10 rides!
I have ridden this ebike maybe ten times and charged it about 5 times. Went to use it today and the power would cut out after about five seconds of use. To reset, I had to hold the red button the battery down. The battery would then turn on and show I have all green lights, but when I try to use it again, I get about 5 seconds of power and then it cuts out. I've repeated this a half dozen times. This bike is pretty useless right now. When it was working, I was relatively happy with it. For the price, it provided a decent ride and performance. Things that weren't so good: 1) rim brakes don't stop very well 2) rust on the rear gear cogs and bolt to the kickstand (and I keep this in the garage!) 3) after going downhill, the bike motor cuts out and doesn't make itself available until 5-10 seconds or so after you level out. If you immediately have to go up a hill, you end up using just your legs for bit. Honestly, I should have paid for a quality ebike that has a support infrastructure in the USA. Based on what I've read, it'll take an act of God to get Hyper to respond to this issue, and I'll probably have to pay $$$ for a new battery. ;-(

    Nice bike -Crappy battery!
I bought this Hyper E-Ride Mountain bike at my local Walmart. The bike is great but the "battery is crap". The description says Approx. 20 miles per charge. I have had the bike for exactly one month now and put 53 miles on it (I put a speedometer on it) and had to charge it 8 times already. I am getting between 6 and 7 miles per charge. I am only about 135 lbs so it not the weight. Also the front suspension forks don't fill like they even work. I am very disappointed in this Hyper bike . I would not recommend this bike only because of the battery.

    In love with this purchase
Great e bike for the money. Got me through 3 months of no car. My commute to work went from 15 min to 22 min. I barely break a sweat on the 5.5 mile ride. I get to work then home without charging it. I have a trailer for my daughter and she loves the bike just as much as me! Great buy. Chain does pop occasionally when going from sidewalk to street but for the price I can deal with it.

    Not a good start
Shipped and is missing the right side pedal. Front brake cable was broken along with front brake lever was broken. Customer service has sent out replacement parts. No review on actual ride until parts come in.

Not sure how I went without this bike so long.
I love this bike. I weigh 190lbs and on a straight road, I get up to 19mph which is way faster then what I need. I go so many places on this bike that I would have never gone to if I had to do all the peddling. I can move thru the orange groves around here so much easier then before. This bike is quiet, so I have been able to get close to some of the wildlife roaming in these parts, (wild hogs, turkeys,etc.). I ride this bike almost every day and the battery has not given out on me so far. I have used this bike to help round up my neighbors cows from the orange groves when ever they decide to take a tour. I am very satisfied with this bike and I recommend it to anyone who likes to ride a bike without all the hassles of having to do all the peddling yourself.

    29” Hyper e-ride review
29” hyper E-ride can be a lot of fun to ride. If you plan on using this for leisurely bike rides this is a great bike for you. If you want to do anything more upgrades are required. The good; the bike frame itself seems sturdy with strong welds, the electric motor also functions well and kicks in with a good amount of power (its genuinely fun to ride), the battery seems to last awhile, battery life seems to very depending on how much I pedal but overall no complaints there. The bad; during installation one of the stem screws stripped so that had to be replaced, after about the 4th ride the left arm crank somehow stripped and had to be replaced, the seat post also bent slightly making it impossible to adjust the seat height I suspect it happened while I was wheeling (for reference I weigh 175lbs). I ended up spending about and extra $350 on upgrades which in my opinion makes the bike a 4.5 star mountain e-bike you can actually take on the trails. Upgrades I did include air fork shock, crank set, pedals, handle bars, stem, grips, and shifter.

    Great Ebike For The Money
I love that the battery snaps into the frame. It's a beautiful bike. It does not come with a rear rack or fenders, but the wife let me transfer her very nice rear rack off of her step through Hyper Ebike onto mine. I've also ordered fenders online for $20. The only thing I don't like about this Ebike is once the bikes motor automatically shuts off at 20 mph you have to slow down to about 10 mph before the motor's pedal assist reengages. I must say that I accidentally test the Ebikes strength just the other day. I was coasting down hill at about 15 mph and was so intent on checking for cross traffic that I hit a metal post insert dead on. ( Check the picture). Needless to say I thought for sure I destroyed my front suspension not to mention my tires. Quite the contrary there was no damage. It's an awesome Ebike for the money. You better buy quickly though because the price of Ebikes is increasing rapidly. This 57 year old man can get some exercise on these steep foothills of Northern California without dying of exhaustion lol.

Front gear warped out of box and caused chain to pop off and damaged the pedal assist pick up sensor located perfectly in the way. Bike pulled great and would've been happy with it if this didn't happen. Going back for replacement. HYPER doesn't respond to emails or answer their phone, ever.... BTW. Don't expect to get any parts or a replacement battery. If this is something you want to do for sport buyer beware...
