It's surprisingly a good phone I use it as a daily driver for all my social medias texting tiktok and movies and videos it lags time to time but for the price its unbeatable value if you're looking for a budget device to get you through day to day tasks this is an excellent choice slap on a glass screen protector and case though as the phone is only made fully of plastics

Not worth it.
The 4 is way better. I had this phone for only about a week and returned them. I was unable to move any apps over to the SD card. The only thing that I was able to store on the SD card were pictures. The phone came with a lot of apps like most phones do, except I wasn't able to uninstall a lot of them. I did disable them though. In one week, my storage use was at a 95% capacity use. I have been using the 4 and have never had that problem.

    very poor useable phone
I bought 2 of these phones for my husband and myself and we both hate using them. They never work correctly. Don't waste your money. I went back to my old phone. VERY disappointed in this phone.

    A mixed bag
The price is great as is the yearly cost of service and the hardware is okay. I got this because my old iPhone finally bit the dust. I detest all the swiping crap, especially since I miss half my calls because I have to swipe to answer and I look like I am having a fit swiping like a mad man to no avail. I suppose someone much younger or addicted to the phone may like it much more. I don't. It has a ton of junk on it but in the final analysis it is little more than an advertising platform for google and they bug you repeatedly, trying to sell/give you apps you neither want nor need. I have never liked android so I am sure that plays into my utter dissatisfaction. If you love messing with your phone, enjoy all kinds of apps you really don't need and are familiar with android's messed up way of doing things then this is the phone for you. You must temper my review with the knowledge that I play no games, can read a map, view social media as a mostly negative thing, don't listen to music on my phone, and I don't use my phone to be constantly informed about news, weather, or what's new on my laptop.

    Phoenix features Wide angle lens
One of My favorite features of Phonix models is the Knock on/off screen. The other great feature is the camera has a wide angle, and closeup lens. Long lasting battery and bottom speaker location. The only thing missing is the rear power/volume as on older Phoenix models.

    Not very impressed
This is probably the worst phone I've ever had. Both of the rear cameras take terrible photos and there aren't really any settings to change in the camera app. This phone has completely wiped my sd card of all my photos and music twice now. The screen doesn't respond half of the time and gets stuck in between landscape and portrait when rotating screen. Honestly the phoenix 3 had better settings and features than this one.

    Trash phone.
I had this phone for some time now, and i got used to the slow speeds the phone has. applications are laggy, and videos buffer. The storage that the phone comes with is bad because all of the storage is used by pre-installed applications the person cant uninstall, only disable, called "bloatware". The android UI freezes all of the time, the keyboard has to load in before typing?! . Going back to the storage, I would only have 1-2 GB to use for my personal files, most of the storage used by me is applications such like, instagram, snapchat, youtube, just those applications would leave me with 300 MB left of storage. And we can also talk about the Notifications that can't be dismissed, if I manually turn off data, it pops a notification that i turned off data, like i know that phone, and i cant dismiss that. The phone takes a while to load the system UI and any application in general. the Google assistant is annoying because it can pop in randomly, and with the low memory of the phone, it will appear at 1 FPS. If i try to close it, the system UI crashes. Go ahead on google and search for "LG pheonix 5" then scroll to the reviews, there are more 1 star reviews than any other review. Bad Phone even for 50 dollars, its not user friendly at all. The camera quality also is bad, video capture is at 30 FPS, you can't change the resolution of the camera at all, there is no slow-mo feature, and the microphone quality is bad too. The screen resolution is pretty bad, I can't really see videos clearly, and it cannot handle 1080p even with the best WIFI connection. Companies that use android don't really care about privacy, they will allow any source to track your device, and track your location without permitted, the biggest offender of this is Google. There aren't any warnings that say "(this application) wants to use your location" or "(this application) wants to track your device", so you are basically unsafe using this phone, using google of course. When swiping up, for the google search thing, that is also a point where the phone crashes, When i accidently swipe up, and try to close it, system UI crashes. The only pro this phone has is the 0.5 Lens the camera introduces, the zoom is pretty blurry, so thats a trade. other than that everything is bad, hardware and software wise. Comparing to its predecessors it is a real downgrade. All of these reviews are only cosmetic reviews, and a first looks, they are only looking at the actual design of the phone, they dont test performance, because they are getting payed from LG or some other prepaid company themselves, and require the person to show the design NOT show the specs. That's LG's trick to get more sells.

    Would not recommend.
Piece of junk. This was the second one that I purchased. The first one quit charging. Would not acknowledge charger being plugged in. Used every charger and even checked the charger at the photo lab. It wouldn't work. I bought this one and within a month or two it did the same thing. Would not recommend. I purchased an AT

    Nice Phone
I like my phone. The only issues I have is I am not able to remove apps to my sd card (which I was able to do with previous phone) It keeps telling me low on storage and I need those apps on my phones that I added. The ones ATT put on there like HBO Max I don't need. Another thing that would make it better is having the power button on the back. Other than that its a great phone.

When I got the phone I could not get it set up it showed the account suspended. I went to the local ATT store who called and they stated the wrong bar code was scanned and therefore the phone was showing stolen. When I sent In the receipt and other numbers the phone was unlocked. This was a little hard in my nerves. Employees should be trained in the proper process of shipping out products

This model not normal LG standard.
touch screen terrible. you can not scroll on it. if you touch screen it takes to where ever you touch it on screen.. then when you type something you have to keep tapping on letters. I contacted walmart they told me to contact LG. Lg told me to contact Walmart. waste of money had to buy another phone when I also bought additional 2 year warranty . I had the previous model Lg 4 no problems just want bigger display.

    Good phone, bad manual.
The manual gives just very basic descriptions of features which anyone who used any smart phone for more than a month knows by heart. It is impossible to find any information on more sophisticated usage of many phone's possibilities. The only way to learn - trial and error. Good for someone who uses it as a toy and enjoys playing with it. Bad for the one who needs to get straight to functionality and to use it as a tool not a toy.

    Not liking the 5!
The quality of the phone is great but the amount of crap loaded on the phone is ridiculous!! Most can't be removed and burns thru the battery like crazy. One of the apps burned thru 48% of battery life just sitting there. If you don't allow access to all of your information the phone continuously sends notifications that you did not agree to each and every thing you did not share. Had a 3 for many years with none of these problems. Also ,did not allow me to transfer my texts to the new phone and lost them all. It is much slower than my 3 because of all the new app that they have running. Buffers videos constantly where my 3 never did that.. I miss my phoenix 3 already and it has only been 2 days!!!

    Great Phone!
The phone's settings are easy to navigate. There are tons of choices offered, so you can set things up to fit your liking. I tend to listen to a lot of music. The volume on this phone is better than my last. I'm glad I chose to purchase this model.

Great upgrade from Phoenix 4! Ignore the reviews!
***IF INTERESTED IN THIS PHONE PLEASE READ: IGNORE THE REVIEWS. I have no idea why this phone has such bad reviews. I had the the Phoenix 4 and this is most definitely an upgrade. I also tried out the Radiant Max, and also the Moto G7 Play, which I had to send both back for different reasons. All of the negative things that the bad reviews mention, can be fixed in the settings. Don't like the gestures? Go into the notification tab settings and change it back to the home screen and back tab on the bottom. That's what I did, It took me 30 seconds. Don't like the bloatware? You can either uninstall, or disable any app you'd like. That's what I did. It took me 30 seconds. The screen is clean and there are no artifacts. I had to send back the Moto G7 because it had double vision on the top and bottom of the screen. Beware though, the Walmart employee that packaged my phone didn't scan it before sending out, so I am now waiting up to 48 hours for it to be activated by Walmart, so that I can actually make calls. I also don't like that At

    Not Activated
Walmart did not activate the phone before shipping. After installing the sim card from an existing phone to the new, the carrier suspended service on the account. Not only did the new phone not work, the old one didn't either. This was a Christmas gift. The person I gave it to was left without phone service they would have otherwise used to contact family and friends on Christmas day. Support services were unavailable since it was a holiday.

Great phone! Learn to use it and its features!
This is a great phone for the price and well worth it! I read all these negative reviews and after buying the phone I can tell most people did not bother to learn the phone. You can turn off gestures and use the old fashion home, back, recent apps buttons. You can turn off swiping to left for Google assist and not have it open. You can delete most but not all the useless apps and disable the ones you can't delete! After I was left with over 7GB free space.... Not a lot but it is a 16GB phone as clearly the phone is advertised as. You can add an SD card for pictures and video. If you are someone that uses tons of apps and spends all day on your phone this low price great bargain phone is not what you should pick. The screen resolution is great, the camera pictures are great and clear almost comparable to my Samsung Galaxy S8 , and this phone has Android 10. I haven't seen any real lag and it feels and functions as a nice phone. We're talking $50 for a smartphone in the times of $800 $1000 $1200 top tier smartphones. This is definitely an upgrade from any previous LG Phoenix phones.... learn how to use ... or not use the newer features. More of the getting used to is the Android 10 and not the phone itself. If you are coming from the previous Phoenix 4 that phone is at tops Android 8 and is 2 generations older, and Android 10 is an upgrade in most aspects.

A Nickle is to much !
I purchased this phone about 2 months ago , it has been the worse phone I ever purchased. MY daughter has the same phone and it isn't as bad but she is replacing hers as well. It has a terrible volume , low ringtone , jumps from one thing to another , picks up on other callers I don't even know and more , I wouldn't recommend this phone to my anyone , in my opinion if it was a Nickle ( 5cents ) it would be overpriced !
