Rear wheel is warped.
Very disappointed
It was my wife's Christmas present and after I finished assembling it, I find that the rear wheel is warped.

Bike is great, it rides smooth , easy to change gears . The bike trail along the river by our home usually on a normal bike takes about one hour to compete. This time we were done in 10 minutes!! Packaging was amazing. Tons of wrapping and protection around the bikes! Assembly took a couple of hours but it's ok. One of the bikes was missing a couple of components, however, my husband went to the bike shop and got them. The other bike came with everything needed. So far- we love our purchase !!patty

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/21/2022Bike is good, shipping is WAY POOR!I liked the bike and what it had to offer. However, the shipping that Walmart used for my bike as VERY poor. When the bike arrived, the shipping carton was sturdy because it was patched together with other pieces of cardboard, and held together with lots of packing tape. When the patches were taken off, it was obvious that the bike had been in a major hit with the carton having large holes poked in it, as well as a long gash along the side. Both fenders were dented, the rear one to the extent that it was rubbing on the tire all the time. The end result was that I was able to put it together, but it was missing some important components, namely the battery key to aid in removal from the bike frame, a charger for the batter, a couple of washers for the front axle to secure the front wheel from coming off the fork, (of all things) pedals. The return process was easy enough with the exception of getting it to the local Walmart store. But once there, there was no hassle. Having said all that, the bike was good for it's price, but Walmart should be ashamed of how this bike was shipped.Charles

We contacted the manufacturer with a tole free number found in the owners manual. They sent me a easy to follow video. With a small adjustment it now works perfect. Don't be afraid of the very low price as the quality is good.Unknown

The forks could be more sturdy but I am definitely getting what I paid for with this product. The front wheel well assembly arrived damaged, and the front wheel arrived out of true, so I had to get the wheel repaired at the the local bike mechanic. I messaged Hyper Bicycles and they are sending me a new part free of charge! Their initial response time was fifteen minutes! I was able to order the part the same day as my inquiry! They say it will be here within 3-5 business days! I am impressed so far. 5 stars very good.Terence

My wife loves the bike and it's super smooth ride though. Personally I feel the bike is great, but very disappointed with the packaging and delivery. Hence the 2 starkishore

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/28/2021Ride like the wind!This blue Hyper E-Ride is our 4th brand of electric bicycle in my household, and by far the least expensive. It's a great entry level bike that is easy to assemble and ride. Note: this is a pedal assist or you can ride it without power - it does not have a throttle like my other 3 E-Bikes. The Hyper bike comes with front and back reflectors, but not front or back lights which are required to legally ride after dusk. It does not have a speedometer, odometer, basket, or any frills - which is fine. It's easy to buy and attach these things as they are wanted or needed. I went ahead and bought a matching 2nd one of these Hyper E-Ride bikes so we can take them on trips and not worry about losing our $2,000 E-Bikes. They are great for friends and family when we do a group ride if others don't own a bike or E-bike. We also have traditional bikes, but as we get older the E-bikes are so nice with hills and longer rides.Lisa

That is not correct. the height is for a rider of 5' 4" to 6' 2". I am 5' 7" and it fits me with the seat all the way down. With the seat all the way down, it's 34" from the top to the ground.Dave

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/24/2021Fun Pedal assist E-bikeMy husband assembled both bikes, long process and the brakes were probably the hardest thing to originally calibrate. The seat is not bad but I found a memory foam seat I put over the existing seat for a little more comfort. You can either take the battery out or leave it in the bike when charging. It holds a charge pretty well. Probably can get 20 miles or so. 3 levels of pedal assist. Probably tops out at about 18 miles per hour. I put saddle bags on my rack and used the bike to go to the store and buy groceries when we were in FL last year (only transportation besides motor home) I would recommend this ebike. You can't beat the price point. I have only owned 10 months. I thought about a 5 star review as I really don't have any issues.ChattyCathy

I ordered this bike, figured I could return it. I love it!!! It showed up in 2 days as promised. I ride all over our very hilly town everyday. I peddle most of it as I want the exercise but I use the assist on the huge hills. My legs still get a work but I'm not blowing my knee out or having a stroke lol it rides super smooth and glides easy. Even though there are only 6 gears I can ride far and wide with ease. It came mostly assembled, my son assembled it as a surprise. It has lots of power, make sure you are on a straight stretch the first time you use it, ractice a bit. The one small thing that bugs me is the battery rattles around in its holder. I need to use a tiny bungee to stop it from rattling. It disturbs my quiet. I have 3 other bikes but with my sore knee couldn't ride them. I no longer worry about where I ride, because there “ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no valley low enough “ to keep me from my new ride. I'm not usually a review writer. This is a great bike for the price, it could have a higher price and worth it. Speed, power, comfort is all there. I switched out a seat from another bike because it has a shock on the post and is a bit nicer. No biggy there, just my preference.M Hamelin

I question the design which seems to require removal of the rear wheel to remove the fender. I didn't remove the rear wheel because I thought it might cause some connectivity issues between the battery and hub motor. So I basically ripped the fender off very carefully. I actually paid $648. Immediately after placing my online order, an advertisement came up for a similar if not exactly the same bike for $578. I am pretty sure it was EXACTLY the same 700 c and all, but that was a few weeks ago and today I see a 26 inch bike of the same color for $648. I immediately called Walmart and explained. The CS guy seemed apologetic and said he would give me a refund. I replied he didn't have to do that because I did agree to the 648 and explained I called because I was curious how that worked out. But he continued down the refund path and so I assumed I'd get one. I haven't seen it yet, but when the bike arrived it did look like the box had been opened. Soooo….go figure. I'll try to attach as many pictures as I can. Anyway, I like the bike, but I guess my motivation here is maybe to expose some possibly hidden online ordering phenomena. Back to add a couple of things: like others who wrote reviews, yes the spokes were way off - wobbly and out of round wheels. I made the necessary adjustments. Also I bought the big seat you see in the photo.Donald

It goes a lot faster than I ever thought. I love the color and size. The seat was a little small and uncomfortable, but that was an easy fix. Other than that, its a great bike for the price and I would highly recommend it. I saw several reviews about the packing not being satisfactory. This bike was packed so well. The box had no damage at all. Everything was wrapped very well, not one thing was scratched or damaged. I give STrroy

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/24/2021Best eBike value at Walmart!Amazing value! I still can't believe just how much bike this is for so little money. I fully expected this to be the cheapest and lowest quality parts to meet a price....but no! It's actually a nicely built bike. My worries about the brakes were unfounded too. It can reach speeds up to 20mph, but the brakes stop it perfectly well. After riding this bike for a few weeks I keep finding little things I like. First, the frame design is attractive, and being a step-thru design makes it easy to get on and off the bike. There is a front suspension, which is on the cheap side, but it does just fine for the city streets this bike is made for - after all, it is the E-Ride City. The computer is simple and easy to control for the 3 pedal assist modes. 250 watts is more than enough to propel this around town and even up some modest hills without exerting hardly any effort. It weighs under 50lbs, which is light for an eBike, and also makes it somewhat-tolerable to ride with no pedal assist if the battery every does run down. Hyper claims up to 20 miles per charge. I get around 10 miles using maximum pedal assist and up to 17 miles using the lowest level of assist. I live in a town with lots of hills. I don't doubt I could get 20 if it were all flat ground and I stuck to the lowest pedal assist level. Assembly is also easy with only the handlebars, front wheel and pedals needed to be installed out of the box. Anyone with even the slightest ability to turn a wrench should have no problems. Charging with the included charger takes around 4 hours for a depleted battery. All-in-all this is probably the best budget eBike I've encountered. Note: I was provided a bike to use for the experience needed to write this review, and I'm happy to say it definitely exceeds expectations.Kevin
