Perfect for my wife and me!!!
We relocated to Florida and gave away my Kamado Joe Classic, Large Akorn Kamado, Char-Broil Kamander and a Brickmann charcoal grill. We use to have BBQs for more than 20 people. Now, we downside to the Jr Akron Kamado for my wife and me. Is was great to see this grill raising the temp to 550 easily. This is a small version of a regular kamado just use smaller cut of meet. The will taste as good as any regular Kamado. I made a 4' table and we are having fun with it!!!!

Sreious design fail for handle assembly
Serious design flaw for assembly. First part of the assembly is easy until you get to the handle for the top. You can't get the bolts in due to the handle brackets. After an hour, I got one bolt fully in on each side in with a phillips screwdriver. The second bolt on each side can only be partially tightened. The grill itself is good, but whoever designed this handle should be fired! This is not a cheap grill. I should expect better for the price.

    Father's Day
I bought this for my husband as a gift for Father's Day, and he LOVES it! He has been having so much fun grilling everything from burgers to wings, and he wants to try making a pizza. We bought the blue in the smallest size and it's a really pretty shade. Highly recommend!

Unit arrived with lots of damage.
It arrived: chipped, scratched, blemished paint, hinge needing alteration to fit, and grill cracked straight through. I almost returned it immediately, but didn't want to wait and deal with all the hassles in getting another and was excited to use it. I am still attempting to have this company return my requests for a replacement grill outer. After having to alter the hinge to fit and tweaking the latches so they were tight, it looked good, minus the cosmetic damages. The inside coal holder doesn't fit right and rocks when pressure is applied to the grill surface. I like the portable aspects, as well as how efficient it is with charcoal. It does maintain good steady heat when it gets to temp you set the vents to. It is difficult and time consuming to do small adjustments with heat. It isn't ceramic and that is most likley the reason, but due to that same fact it is more portable and not as fragile. It needs to be taken care of and kept dry. I overall like it. I just would have liked the company implementing better QC before sending it out. Damage was not due to shipping.

    Love It!
Absolutely love this grill/smoker. I was worried that it might be too small, but pleasantly surprised at the size and convenience. Plenty of space for a couple or small family. It's big enough to smoke a slab of ribs (cut in half), a 5 lb pork butt or grill enough burgers, dogs, chicken or fish for a small family. I've already smoked and grilled and everything has worked great! The only drawback if you use it as an everyday grill are the short legs. I took them off and dropped it into a table with a cutout. Best purchase of the year!

    Great little cooker!
So far I love it! I had a bit of trouble getting it up to 450 degrees to season it but I think it was the fact (beginner learning curve) that I did not use enough charcoal. I did cook a prime rib on it the day after and it came out spectacular! Husband put legs on it so feel that it will be perfect to cook on!

I'm very happy with this little cooker!
I went back and forth on wether to order this or not. Saw some reviews that were less than stellar, and a bunch of good ones. I finally ordered it, and omg am I happy with this cooker! Assembly is easy. But take your time and don't force anything. I can absolutely see people forcing things, and then claiming the manufacturing was to blame. Mine fit together perfectly. Roasted and smoked chicken, ribs, brisket, salmon... all came out amazing. Now it is small. And I wanted small to take with us camping. So it's perfect for that, but now I want a large one for the house for cookouts and such. That is if you wanna share!

    Produces Perfect Food!
Very impressed with this Kamado style grill.... especially for the price! You can't go wrong here especially for a portable grill. My wife and I personally use it home since we don't need a large Grill for two people..... That being said, we have cooked a 12 pound pork butt with a little room to spare! Holds heat extremely well. We cooked the 12 pounder at 300 degrees for 9 hours until the internal temp was 205 and still had lump coal left. We feel there is plenty of room on this grill. We have cooked 6 large pork chops, spatchcocked chicken, and whole eye of round roasts. You will want to purchase the very affordable heat diffuser as well for indirect heat. I will attach pics for reference on size. Overall, this is a great little grill/smoker and we are personally extremely happy with it.

    I REALLY LIKE THIS GRILL!
I like it so much I bought 2 of them! Assembly is a little tricky, but it just requires a little patience and it's no big deal. Got both of mine in the mail from 2 different sources, and they arrived just fine, all the parts, noting bent, or broken, and put them together in less than an hour. Seasoned the grate with olive oil, put in some KJ XL lump coal, and brought it up to 250º, and began backing it down. Snuffed it out a couple of times but got the combo right on the vents, and haven't looked back since! Smoking at 230º with a little apple wood works great! LOL I always put too much lump coal in it! Can't get used to how efficient the thing is! One of them had a problem with the cover gasket, but that is probably because I ran it up to 700º! The rivet popped back into place and seems to be working fine. Keep them on the covered patio, so no problems with corrosion. All I can say for all the haters out there is make a couple of dry runs with the grill, and learn how to build a fire, and adjust the vents to maintain temperature before you begin smoking and grilling food. This little thing will smoke for 3 hours, grill for another 2 hours, and you'll have enough fuel left over to repeat the process.

    New Toy for Hubby
Purchased the grill from Local store at a great price to give to my hubby to try. Well....let's just say it's his addiction now. Pretty close to every weekend there is smoke rolling outside. It did not take him long to figure out how to hold temp, what rubs to use, what chips to use and how long so as not to over smoke. I have to say it's one of the best purchases ever cuz now I don't have to cook much on the weekend!...whoop, whoop! The product is great looking, sturdy and perfectly sized. Highly recommended but watch out...it will cause 'addiction!' ...lol...

    Holds temperature well; air tight
I also own the 22" Akorn and the Junior seems better built. This little guy is perfect when grilling for my wife and I. The 14" diameter cooking surface is large enough to cook for 6 people. Ribs, brisket, hamburgers, ... this grill can handle anything.
