Looks nice, works great! So happy w choosing this!
Purchased this to support my 1 Gig internet as my old router was not capable of the max speeds. Called support to get fully registered and set up and they were able to walk me through it very easily and get everything functioning properly. No issues or downtime and my internet is working much faster!! Looks really nice too and you can see the lights right in front!

Lasted 1 year
Worked great until it didn't! I've had this router for almost a year exactly and it just quit on me one day! It was great up until that point. Had never had any trouble with NetGear products, but this one will wait until your warranty runs out and then die!

    A major upgrade
This router is a major upgrade from my previous one. I gained over 100mbps speed, the consistency is better, streaming video games has dramatically improved and is actually enjoyable now. And range has increased as well. Overall I would recommend it as a good stand alone router for a smaller home.

    Walmart staff are horrible!
I purchased this item but did not install it until after the return deadline. I couldn't get it to work so I called the product helpline. I was told that it was registered under another name and there were two tickets open already. This was previously purchased and returned by another customer. Even though it was defective, it was returned to stock and sold to me. Because it was past the deadline, they would not take it back. This organization is horrible! The staff did not care and the manager was extremely rude!

    Good but needs improvement
In general I like the AC1900. I don't need anything fancy, I just want my devices to work. However there are two things I don't like. 1. The website where one logs in at routerlogin.net is not secure. This makes me nervous because that is where all my information is located. 2. I am unable to set up my string lights. Nighthawk is suppose to assign whether the device uses 2.4 or 5. The string lights need 2.4. They were working fine with my previous router Nighthawk R1750. Wish I could solve this in a simple way because I'm only tech savy to a point. I would love to be able to use my string lights!

Asus to Netgear in one fell swoop...
After having an Asus router for a few years and having to reboot it weekly, last week it failed completely (couldn't even initiate recovery mode), and I was forced to find a replacement. So, I chose the AC1900 Netgear. So far, it is performing quite well and I'm extremely happy with the features and most especially the app which is simple and easy to use.

    AC Great Router
I've had the AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi, Model R7000 and it has been great since 2016. Recently upgraded to a SMART QLED 85” Samsung and it handles that and multiple other Wi-Fi items in the home. Never an issue with it if any kind!

Doesn't work, the app for it is terrible.
Maybe it's not compatible with Charter internet or something, but for some reason it wouldn't actually work even though I followed all the instructions. It connected to my modem, it lit up and everything, and I even installed the app for it, but it didn't actually produce internet for my devices. My main question is why does it even need an app to connect to the internet? The current router I use doesn't. The only reason I bought this router is because my modem is on the opposite side of the house from my computer and game systems, so the signal is a tad weaker. I figured getting a new router would rectify this, but that didn't pan out. Strongly advise against it. I want a refund and unfortunately I doubt that's gonna happen but don't buy this. And to the manufacturer: Stop giving every piece of tech an app. Not everything needs one, it should work fine just being plugged into the right sockets.

I apparently have bought two of these routers first one didn't last a year and this one hasn't lasted six months. Kept dropping signal now not working at all. My other routers lasted for years. No more Netgear for me

    Keeps dropping internet
I recently switched to Google Webpass, and bought this as one of the recommended routers. Unfortunately, it keeps randomly dropping the internet even after updating the firmware. The technician who helped install Webpass says this has apparently been an issue w/ this specific model.

Our internet used to sit and load and laod and was SO annoying. Enter Netgear WiFi Router.... the dark days of slow screen loading is way back in the dust! It's so fast. Love it!

    Spot on
Bought this router to replace a piece of junk Linksys router, that was knocking my Roku tv off the internet one to two times a week. Not only is it faster than Linksys, it properly supports IPV6 from my ISP, and has proper gigabit lan ports, and as a result webpages load faster. This router was also designed for proper streaming of things like Netflix, HULU and the like, it is also meant for online games like Diablo 3, and so on. I have owned Netgear routers in the past, and prefer Netgear over Linksys any day of the week.

    Absolutely incredible.
I don't even know what to say. There is about 6 ppl in the house and everyone has a phone/computer/iPad/Bluetooth speakers and etc and enough was enough so I looked online and a friend actually suggested I purchase this and let me tell you I just wish I have bought it sooner. Absolutely worth every penny.

    Disapointed!
The shipping was fast, got here two days earlier then scheduled. There were a couple of issues. 1. This item was NOT new and NOTHING in the add stated that it was a USED product! 2. The packaging was atrocious. This is a computer component. It should NOT be mailed is a flimsy box and mailer that is normally use for clothes!!

great product, but did not last as long as expecte
I bought this router about 4 years ago when i first got gigabit internet. The router worked great, and all the setting/readycloud were fairly easy to use and understand. I do a lot of game server hosting, and port forwarding with it was never an issue. however, about 3 years into owning it the 5GHz antenna died. it would constantly drop connection and signal, and slowly deteriorated until 5g was useless, and even turned off. (and yes i updated to newest firmware, factory reset and everything else i could think of. this is unfortunately not a very uncommon issue.) I was disappointed, but continued to use just the 2.4GHz band, and had no issues. Until about another year passed; at which point the 2.4g antenna followed the same fate. i had retired it to being an access point not too long ago, but now it can not even handle that. again, great product for the first 3 years. i do not know how common this issue is, but i have seen many people with the same experience. if you plan to replace/upgrade after about 3 years, then it is probably a very good router for you to choose.

Great for today's multitude of devices
My network was crashing and lagging constantly. After juggling 3 old routers and trying setting up extenders or dual networks I decided it was time to upgrade finally. What once worked was failing as my family and technology grew. Essentially I had too many wireless devices. This nighthawk fit the bill exactly and is handling my household perfectly. It is currently providing for 2 iPads, 2 iPhones, 2 android phones, 3 dlink cameras, 360, PS3, 1 appletv, psp vita, laptop, surface and Directv all wirelessly while also networked to two tplink 8 port switches that have about 10 devices hard lined, which on "game night" has 3 ps4's or xboxones playing online together. We are a gamer family and this nighthawk has held up extremely well. I've had it for little over a month and no problems yet. Seriously recommend this and as with any router do the extended warranty as I've never heard of a router that doesn't fail with serious use, at least peace of mind on expensive equipment for cheap, believe I paid 19 for 3 years, which to me is a no brainer. Almost forgot, the iPhone/iPad app works great for maintaining your network and can even reboot remotely when adding on. 5ghz ac, 2.4 ghz, and guest networks of each. Range was huge upgrade over my old as well.

    Excellent little device
Purchased at Walmart. 1/27/2014 $199.98 This device replaces a Cisco router. Set up for this device is extremely easy. It's very powerful device too. In fact, when it resets the reset signal is powerful enough to interfere with my over the air TV antenna. During normal operation though I've had no challenges with interference. The app that you can download for your devices is very useful. You can do almost all of your router maintenance from the app. I don't have to log into the router via a webpage very often at all. The media drive feature and the turbo transfer has been a little awkward set up and going. It "works", but it's just not as convenient as I would like. Every once a while connection to the Internet gets intermittent and we have to reboot the router. However, that happens every month or so and it's not enough of an annoyance to significantly impact my rating. We have 20+ devices that connect this particular router. My wife and I work at home via VPN connections. We have teenagers too that do a lot of video streaming. Monthly we push close to 100 GB of data through the router with no issues to speak of. We had previously moved to Cisco because of some challenges with our previous routers from Netgear. However, this one seems to have won us back!
