Excellent!
Arris SBG8300 is an excellent device, fast and reliable. Since I purchased it I haven't had any issues with my wifi. I highly recommended it!

Ordered a new modem but was delivered a used modem
I ordered a new modem but what was delivered to me was a used modem that the third party vendor obtained from Amazon Renewed. I know this to be true becasue there was a sticker on the modem box that said, "Thank you for giving this device a second life. Amazon Renewed." The modem came in the orginal packaging but it wasn't sealed. I paid $139 for a new modem. Currently on Amazon Renewed a used modem sells for $109.99. I am not happy about this Walmart shopping experience.

Update version of a proven performer.
This model is an update of a proven performer in the world "bring-your-own-modems". Most cable providers have stepped up to DOCSIS 3.1 but not all modems operate stably. I chose this one because it does.

    Little but powerful
What a powerful little modem with blazing fast speed. This is my second or third one . I seem to always fall back to this trustworthy modem. I highly recommend!

A picture is worth 1,000 words
We had been paying for 200MBps internet but never got those results. Our internet kept going down constantly and was very slow. Sometimes as low as 5MBps. My husband works from home so we couldn't afford to keep losing our internet. We had our internet company come out and look at everything. We were told we needed to get a modem by itself instead of a modem/router combo. The modem/router we had didn't even work with nano beams that my husband needed for his office he built by our house, so luckily we had an extra router we hooked up with our modem/router combo that did work with nano beans. Anyway, I purchased the Arris sb8200 since that was recommended by our internet company. In the store, it was $169, so I ordered it online with grocery order pickup at the same store for $152. The price is constantly fluctuating online. I took a screenshot of the speed test with our modem/router combo, then another one immediately after with the ARRIS modem and Lynksys router. What a difference! Like I said, a picture is worth 1,000 words. 100MBps faster!

It took 2 calls to Comcast tech support to get this unit connected and up and running. It works well after install. Is this Comcast's fault? Maybe.

Maybe I got a defective one.
This worked great, until it didn't. We had it for four months and everything was working well. Randomly the lights on the front started flashing and we weren't able to get it back online. Now I need to look into the warranty and replacing it .

    Works Well - lasts longer
ARRIS is what most of the cable companies use. They last longer. I bought an ASUS router and it died after about a year. Never going to buy that brand again. Stick with the one that works. ARRIS.

This Wifi router is the best I got in my whole life using internet, I got a similar but was getting to slow, I called my internet provider and the technician told me was the wifi modem router, he recommend me to get a recent model so... I got this and I feel I'm flying with this device in the whole devices connected at the same time.

    Plug-n-play
Pretty much a plug-n-play device. Contacted our ISP for setup, and voila! Clean and compact design. Boots up in reasonably quick time. I am very satisfied.

    Doesn't work with Xfinity/Comcast
I spent days and days - weeks really - trying to get my Arris SB8200 cable modem to work. I was online with technicians all over the world, Mexico, Philippines and Guatemala, sometime for hours at a time. I connected it directly to the Xfinity input to the house, it didn't work. I had the Xfinity technician come out, he could not make it work. He added a Viewsonic Q-6-680 equalizer, and replaced some equipment outside my house. We could never get it to work. There is a bunch of garbage online about the dBmV levels. The levels I have are fine. Just buy the Netgear Nighthawk 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem instead (Model: CM1200-100NAS) - it just works.
