Overall decent first e-bike
I have been waiting for over a year to find a suitable e-bike for my tall 7 year old. This one fits the bill nicely. PROS Pedal assist only no throttle. This means they are still moving to get some cardio in. Removable battery seems to get the stated 15 miles on low assist Brakes are good and came well adjusted. CONS Heavy at 40 pounds loose the suspension fork and make the frame from aluminum. There is no reason this would be this heavy other than cheap materials. Gears. Comes with the lowest tier shimano components available. My kid will never use these and it is capable as a single speed. They should have saved the cost and weight and used it for lighter materials. Overall I would still recommend this to someone with a kid who has low muscle strength or just wants to take family bike rides farther. This is coming from someone who has 5 various ebikes In the family and many-many pedal bikes.

    Battery died in less than an year
    Stay away form this bike, Battery died in less than an year. I contacted the customer service for Kent and they suggested to buys a new battery worth $200 from their website. This is rediculas. I would expect the company to cover replacement for a faulty battery.

    DO NOT BUY!! The battery exploded and caught my apartment on fire and I lost everything! The bike company wants to send me a replacement bike! Please do not buy this bike. It's very dangerous!! Now my kids and I are out of a place to live and have to start over. The toxicity from the battery is extremely dangerous so they had to get rid of everything we own from the smoke and sut damage.

    Battery died after FIVE months. reached out to KENT to get a replacement. Almost a month has passed now and still they refuse to provide a replacement. Will update if this changes but I doubt that. I would stay clear from all their product

    don't buy stopped working after 3 months
    I purchased this bike 3 months ago and now it stopped working I can't take the manufacturer and they are refusing to refund me the money this bike is nothing worth it's a piece of junk and it will stop working after 3 to 4 months

    Terrifying.
    THE BATTERY WENT UP IN FLAMES IN MY HOUSE! I bought this bike at a great price when it was on sale and bought 4 for multiple family members. Yesterday night the battery went up in flames! exploded in my house! The most terrifying thing is if I wasn't awake, I would have never noticed and only God knows what would have happened to my house. I threw the bike outside right away and take the fire out as well

    This has not been used ONCE because the chain will not go on. It had not been used manually or with a battery. Also, we filled the tires twice, and they emptied. We thought we were doing something wrong, so we waited til friends were over to check it out. Then, when we went to return it, the return period had ended!!!

    It's a perfect e-bike for kids except battery
    It is a good entry-level e-bike for kids with good price. Power assistance is really powerful at large level, faster than the maximum speed I can reach manually. The battery is a problem. The first bike I ordered had dead battery when delivered. The replacement battery is difficult to get and the manufacturer sells at $200 as parts, which exceeds the price of the entire bike I purchased. The second one I ordered has working battery and I keep that one.

    This is a great little bike. I can't really make any complaints, the ebike features are super simple for my kids to control and it doesn't feel unsafe either. My only complaint is the weight. The bike can get a bit tough to handle when they are stopping and getting off and it's pretty heavy on the bike rack. It's also a heavy bike to ride but the motor makes up for that mostly once you are on the move. Overall my kid loves it and we are pleased with this purchase.

    Good value, bad shipping.
    Great value at ~$150, kids enjoy it. Be prepared to tinker with it, as others have reported the shipping oftentimes damages the product. In my case: The derailleur attachment was bent and require some gentle straightening. I used an adjustable wrench to do it. Don't unscrew the derailleur while fixing it, but do remove the chain from it. The battery holder bots/threads were damaged. I had to re-cut the M5 threads and use new, better quality, bolts.
